Excerpt: Aloha, I am a field botanist. I use these binocs to Spot rare hawaiian plants across gulches and valleys. I needed a very lightweight, very compact binoc that will fit into my vest. This was perfect!! Not only were the size and weight perfect, the clarity and stability were excellent. I am very happy with these binocs.
Excerpt: This binocular was bought as a backup for times when my wife didn't want to carry along larger binocs.

The only "but" is that the distance between pupils is not specified, and the smallest distance is just a bit large for my wife's use.

For the size, these binocs are lighweight, sharp, and have reasonable eye relief and field of view.

A good binoc that compares favorably with more expensive models.
Excerpt: I purchased this 8x25 Binocular solely because of the Minox reputation.. and they exceeded my expectations! Beautifully constructed with high quality 'glass', perfect for shows, ballgames, birds and watching cruise ships go by. One terrific bargain..
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: I selected the Minox strictly for lightness and compactness to watch birds from inside our rural house. Was astonished to find that it fits the hand very nicely, and the optics really "pop", comparing very favorably to several more expensive standard-sized binoculars even in deep woods in early morning. It is now competing for "most popular" status.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses

Summary: These Minox binoculars are compact, light and are a pleasure to hold (very comfortable and well balanced in your hands). They are sharp, very bright for the 25 mm objective size and the image stays in focus to a surprisingly wide degree over the field of view, or width of view. The depth of focus is good too. The optics cope well on cloudy overcast days; the first time I used them was in the Highlands of Scotland.
Summary: I bought these last year as a newbie to binoculars but I wanted something lightweight and compact for travelling. The choice was a bit mind boggling but these were recommended to me by someone in the business and I've not been disappointed. Minox is a German company and has a good reputation. I've read that it was set up by some ex Leica employees which means high quality lenses but a much lower price.
