Excerpt: I use these for bird watching and butterflies. Great close focus, smooth rapid focusing. A little heavy but tremendous optics. I would recommend these. I bought them to replace a Nikon Monarch 10X50. The quality is well above the Nikon.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof
Excerpt: My wife tole me that she wanted a well-built binocular for her birthday and she uses it for bird watching. The first option came to my mind was something made by the Germans, who are known for the optics. I looked at some Leica made products and realized that I may have to break the bank to do this.
Solid, bright and comfortable and relatively cheap.
