Excerpt: The combination of size, weight and optical quality makes it an ideal binocular on trips, when you are on longer walks (hunting, photo) with other heavy euipment to carry. Very impressed with the optical quality (I have a few other high quality binoculars from before).
Summary: I absolutely love these binoculars and have used them for several years. They are very durable, compact and light weight so that I can wear them all day in the field and not get a neck ache. The focusing mechanisms are smooth and fluid and optics very clear in all light conditions.
Summary: I have "face tested" many binoculars and found these to fit my face just right. incredibly bright and crisp optics and much lighter than my very good Vortex binoculars. I enjoy using them when I can snatch them away from my avid birder son!
Excerpt: I own many quality binos by Swarovski, zeiss and leica, the top of the line stuff in varying magnifications and objective diameters. these are still the "go to" pair for me for African hunting, for almost all hunting actually, and I bought them the year they came out.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: These binoculars exhibit the truly exceptional quality that we have come to expect from Leica. Every aspect, including the packaging, is thought out with meticulous care. They are a joy to use.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses
Summary: I have owned many binoculars in the past. The Leica 8x32 hd binoculars are the best of the best. The Swarovski's are a very close second. I've used the Swarovski 8x32 this year on a brown bear hunt before I purchaced the Leica's. For me size and weight put the Leica's ahead of the Swarovski's EL's.
Excerpt: I am an avid bird watcher, and could not be any happier with the new HD version. I have owned the earlier Ultravid, and the EL's. Neither can compare. The size and weight are wonderful. The brightness is unbelieveable. The price is high but worth it.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Summary: I just inherited a used pair of the prior model of these, the 8x32 BR. They are a great alternative to traveling with my bulkier 8.5x44 porros. Everything is just perfect. These are balanced in the hand so well, they feel like you're holding a much lighter binocular.
