Summary: I originally bought these binoculars for celestial use. I was amazed to see a clear and crisp image of the craters on the moon(the image will not be as clear when the moon is full).however, as with all relatively high powered binoculars stability will be a problem that is easily solved with a tripod.all in all with all the features it has to offer this item will be worth every penny you paid for and makes a great christmas gift!
Summary: These Binoculars are great!! We use them for all sorts of things, but mainly Bird Watching as we belong to the RSPB and have many days out visiting their sites all over the country. They are light enough not to be obstructive but give you the power and agility required to see things in close up without a lot of fiddling around.
Summary: I was a little concerned from some of the reviews that these binos might be incredibly heavy but they seem to be a fantastic piece of kit for the price. I would describe them as solid rather than heavy and my 5 year old son doesn't have any problem using them. I am not planning to carry them any distance though as we bought them to watch red kites and animals in our garden and they are great for that.
Summary: Great binoculars. I bought them for everyday use (and sometimes to see the craters of the Moon, weather permitting!) and was able to use them straight out of the box. They can also be attached to a tripod but they need an adaptor for that (I bought Opticron L mount model 31004 for my Hama 63 tripod with good results). Really pleased with them.
