Summary: I met Celestron through photography and know they make good glass. When I decided to upgrade my standard 7 X 35 binoculars I looked at several manufacturers including Celestron. Their reputation may have given them an edge, but the reviews supported that well. For the price they are a solid feeling, good quality, easy to use instrument. Contrary to what some reviewers have said, these binoculars are neither too heavy or too powerful to be hand-held.

Summary: Sad but I don't like them - they DO NOT have a fitting to take the tripod adapter that Amazon were showing on the same page and they are OK but not great as binoculars - will use them from time to time no doubt but not regularly for the purpose I bought them which was to watch the birds and rabbits in my back garden.
Summary: Align everything nicely at 10 times zoom but when zooming in the images split vertically so that eyes can't resolve into a single image. It's not to do with eyepiece position because this is a vertical, not a horizontal, split. Need to shut one eye and use like a telescope. I don't expect perfection at this price but surely someone with normal eyesight checks them out at various zoom levels before leaving the factory in China?
Summary: I bought these as my first binoculars. I have though looked through quite a few in shops. I was really amazed with the clarity of the lens and ease of use. Even at the high end the focus was quite sharp and clear. They are light and good all round quality. At this price these binocs are a bargain. Just the thing for the first buyer or even for a second pair.
