celestron skymaster 25x70 binoculars

na, B&H Photo
13 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I use these binoculars to occasionally sky gaze. They perform as advertised, but a good tripod is recommended. At 4 lbs, they are just a little too heavy to use without. I had no problem with the focusing procedure--a little time consuming for each individual, but manageable. Great shipping time and the price was unbeatable.

WELL MADE

Adorama
17 April 2014
  • Excerpt: These binoculars are well made, the barrels seem the be aluminum with s rubber coating, the frame is also metal. The collimation was good on the set I received and the lenses seem to be clear and made from glass no visiable marks or bad spots in the lenses. The focus bridge between the eye pieces is also made from aluminum and not plastic like on some.

Incredible range

  • Summary: These have incredible brightness and field of view. It's tough to hold, they just about need a tripod, not quite. But for this magnification that's to be expected. Easy to focus, and actually not "as" big as they look in the picture, definitely usable/portable. Come in a nice case. Overall incredible range for the price. Very clear, very bright.
  • Pros: Very good range/brightness
  • Cons: Tough if handheld

Good Value

  • Summary: First time we ever saw the moons of Jupiter and the craters on the moon! Only criticism is the tripod mount which is too weak and allows lots of wobble and shake when viewing on a tripod.
  • Pros: Great Optics
  • Cons: Wimpy tripod mount

Wonderful!!

  • Excerpt: The Celestron 25 x 70 SkyMaster was my very first purchase for stargazing, and I am very happy with them. There are infinitely more stars when you look through these binoculars. I bought them to view the comet Hartley 2. I had a lot of help finding it, but view it I did! Hartley 2 was gorgeous, and I also got my first personal look into the vastness of space. I love my SkyMasters and the tripod adapter is very helpful.
  • Pros: Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, Works Well With Glasses
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Summary: All I can say is WOW. I purchased these Celestron Skymaster 25x70 binoculars for £60.75, £110 rrp. I have just entered the world of astronomy. These are excellent for viewing the night sky, optics are excellent for such a cheap price, coated optics, BAK-4 Prisms. I also own a Celestron Astromaster 130eq telescope. Celestron never cease to amaze me with the quality of their products at the price they are.
