Summary: I use it mostly for astronomy and occasional views of high flying jets with their contrails. When I used the binoculars with the binocular mount, there was so much lateral vibrations that it was just about useless. I epoxyed both sides of the binocular mount (with some spare screws laid in with the epoxy) and let it set for 24 hours and now it is "rock steady". I can now enjoy the views without any vibrations at all.
Pros: Nice views of the heavens; feels like a "space walk"
Excerpt: These binoculars are great if you plan on using a tripod to look at very distant objects or celestrial viewing. The image was clear and sharp. They also did well in low light. They are not great for bird watching or hand holding. Due to the magnification 25x and the weight of the binoculars, any slight movement of the hand causes the image to jump around.
Pros: Good in Low Light, Priced Right, Sharp Image
Summary: I was looking for high magnification budget binoculars and these are just the right choice. Since i knew the drawbacks in zoom binoculars i decided to buy these 25x70 Celestron binoculars. The order was delivered nicely and well packed. I am using these binoculars mostly for terrestrial viewing and occasionally for star gazing. The views are clear and well magnified, the only draw back which i encounter is somewhat narrow FOV but that is also negligible.
Summary: Always promised myself a pair of these and they perform well. They are - as is only to be expected - heavy. Stability of vision over more than a few seconds is best achieved by using a support surface or a tripod - they are easily mounted by buying the accessory necessary for a few pounds.
Summary: Met my requirements, clean clear vision, great for viewing the coast line and shipping movements, waiting for clear skies to view the moon. Good solid construction well pleased with my purchase.
Summary: great to look out at sea with as i live on the coast , i was watching a sea king helicopter training yesterday evening and could see the helicopter fairly clearly from 1mile away approximately . Quite heavy to use although when you purchase the item a connector to fit a tripod is included , would recommend item as good value. Try resting the binoculars against a window as this takes the weight / strain when holding with hands .
Summary: Pros: 1- Very easy to use even for a complete amateur, and you can do so almost straight out of the box. 2- Magnification is great (I could make of individual craters on the moon). 3- Well-built and with a sturdy feel. Cons: 1- The binoculars are a little heavy though, and your arms will likely get tired after holding them up for a few minutes. You can go for lighter/less magnification depending on your needs.
Summary: These are good quality-- but heavy. You will need a HIGH tripod to really appreciate them or a wall to balance them on. The moon appears in detail and the moons of Jupiter are nearly all visible. The are better that a kids telescope and less hassle.
