Celestron SkyMaster 15x70mm binoculars review

  • Excerpt: You'll notice on the photo that it has a base with a pressure nipple, which functions as a type of spring washer. That is the reason why I filled in the bottom cavities on the Skymaster adaptor, to prevent the nipple getting ripped off as the adaptor get screwed on. Excellent value for money.

Perfect for beginner, but will use throughout all aspects of stargazing.

  • Excerpt: My only problem, and not a criticsm of the binoculars themselves, is getting a stable image. I build a small bracket that slots between the mount and the tripod and is fixed to one lense tube with velcro. Perfectly stable. I am staggered at the clarity and number of objects I can see.
  • Pros: light, easy to carry, price, portability
