Awesome - and a bargain

Geraint Edwards, Amazon

  • Summary: I was a bit weary ordering this from Amazon Warehouse because it stated that there maybe some cosmetic damage to the case or accessories. I needn't have worried. The product arrived on time and as new. The bonus was the discount I had off the normal price of these binocs (which is a bit steep to say the least.) The binoculars themselves are sensational. I've bought them for stargazing, but they are fab for normal day to day use. Highly recommended.

Well worth the money.

  • Summary: Excellent item. The stabilising button is a dream, very light touch to click on and off and is flush with the top of the binoculars. They are quite heavy but not too heavy to make easy use of. If the weight was a problem there is the fitment/screw thread for a tri or mono-pod to be attached. The recipient is very pleased with them.

Sensational binoculars.

A. R. Jacubs, Amazon

  • Summary: Last year I purchased two pairs of binoculars both of which I would describe as superb. One was a Helios Quantum 4 15X70 and the other a Strathspey waterproof 10X50. The Helios are utterly amazing with the 70mm objective lens giving a great 4.5 field of view. The Stratspey's have terrific lenses and I find them so handy for carrying around in general use. However because of their weight the Helios bins must be tripod mounted which is not as easy as it sounds.

Super quality.

  • Summary: I am no technician, being an ex Sailor and used to smaller lighter models, but these are great mounted on a a tripod on my balcony in Golfe Juan. I can pick out vessels names passing on the horizon. What I see laid on the decks of passing Yachts is not for discussion, especially when getting the shakes its instantly fixed by pressing the button on top, but keep the batteries in good condition and do not forget to remove them if you store for any length of time.

Great Magnification and Quality

William Williamson, Amazon
27 February 2013
  • Summary: These stablised 15x magnification binoculars are great for long-distance bird watching or star gazing and represent a significant improvement over non-stablised binoculars. They can also be tripod mounted for hands-free operation and the object lenses are threaded to accept filters and lens hoods. I am delighted with these binoculars and recommend them to anyone seeking the maximum performance from a single pair of binoculars.

Unbelievable Service

John, Smifu
19 July 2012
  • Excerpt: After having waited 2 plus weeks for another supplier to provide my binoculars and their not being able to tell me when the goods might arrive, I turned to Mark at Smifu. He was professional, did not give me false hopes, and checked availability - in contrast to the other supplier! I ordered the binoculars from Mark at 10.30am one day and they arrived the next at 4.45pm. I could not recommend Smifu more highly and the courier service that delivered the goods.

Amazing binoculars

P, Amazon
12 March 2010
  • Summary: I bought these for my husband to view ships passing up the Channel on the distant horizon. They are amazing. Ships that are just a blur to the naked eye become clear enough to read their names. The stabilisation works perfectly. I am sure they will be good when out birdwatching as they are quite lightweight for their size. The field of vision is good, enabling the object to be quickly picked out. Thouroughly recommended.

Canon 15 X 50 IS Binoculars...

23 February 2010
  • Conclusion: I love these binocs. I highly recommend them to anyone.
  • Pros: I spend my time looking at the moon through these binocs, which looks like you can reach out and touch it. I was amazed to see how clearly I can pick up Jupiter and its moons. I can even see conglomerations of starts. The stabilization button is a huge plus and allows a satisfactory use of hand held viewing.
  • Cons: There are no caps for the lenses and the caps for the oculars do not stay on very well. You can not change the batteries whilst the binocs are mounted on the tripod. This means that you have to loose your line of sight in order to change them.
