If you can afford something better don't buy these
2 weeks ago
Summary: I bought these because they fit my price range. The flip up covers never stayed closed, and I ended up just taking them off all together since they were always in the way. The eye pieces screw up but after few months the rubber pieces were coming off. They also screw down while you walk. The glass themselves isn't terrible but it definitely isn't great either. My eyes have a hard time focusing in since one eye is stronger than the other. My next pair will be Vortex!
Summary: Reg. price is way too high, but I got these on sale for a second pair and for my young Daughter to use. At forty percent off, they are okay. Clear, but do not adjust focus much and the rubber telescoping eye caps pulled right off the 1st time in the field! What! They are cheaply glued on, so I will have to use a better glue than the MFG! Otherwise, okay for about a C note and others in the similar cat. are 2x the price.
Summary: I am very pleased with these. I'm a little concerned about the history of double vision in Bushnell roof prism binocs. I took a chance after a previous pair of 8 X 42s went bad due to the prism coming unglued. Time will tell if that issue has been resolved, but in the meantime, these seem to be well worth the risk.
Summary: wow. Love these binoculars. My brother-in-law had these binoculars and I was blown away at the clarity. I have always wanted a really nice pair of binoculars but didn't think I could afford the price of finer equipment. When he told me the price, I couldn't believe it. Don't know what other features the more expensive brands have, but my 8x42's are just awesome!!!!!!!!!!
