Excerpt: I bought these to replace my Jason 10x50s, which my 5 year old left at the local park. I had used that pair without an issue for over 10 years. Apparently Bushnell bought out Jason, but didn't change this pair except they are black rather than a cammo exterior. I use them mostly for birding. The neck strap included in the package is a throw away, but easily replaceable.
Pros: Good Clean Glass, No Focusing Needed, Works Well With Glasses
Excerpt: I bought these Permafocus binoculars for an 8 year old boy. They were easy for him to use,the weight was medium and binoculars are durable if dropped. Protective carrying bag was a useful addition. No negatives found.
Pros: Close Focus, Compact, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction, The Price Was Reasonable, Waterproof
Summary: These binoculars were purchased for an upcoming cruise to Panama. I had the opportunity to test these and was really impressed with the speed and accuracy of these glasses. I recently took them along during an outdoor picnic at the bay and was very satisfied with the performance. These are great for outdoor sports viewing and I would recommend them.
Excerpt: these optics are the best we have ever used, given their very reasonable price. We hold them up, side by side to some other brands that cost five to fifteen times more than these and these are superior to most. Bushnell Permafocus doe not need adjusting, they automatically adjust, whether for close up or for far away viewing. These optics ROCK!!!
Pros: Close Focus, Quality Lenses, Waterproof, Works Well With Glasses
Summary: These were purchased for general use and indoor concert viewing. I think they're fine but a bit bulky for an opera or classical concert. A negative is that you cannot adjust the focus on these.
Excerpt: The Bushnell 10x50 is great for getting up close and personnal with deer, turkey, eagles, here in Iowa. I have 15 acers by the State Park here and sometimes a bigger cat than I expect comes down my premise looking for a meal. After eye surgeries, the Bushnell Perma Focus 10x50 come in handly. No need to adjust a twist, right now ! Can't think of a con with the Bushnell Perma Focus 10x50, cept', maybe, No Nothing.
Summary: Bought these because I borrowed them from my father to deer hunt. Excellant & best I have owned thus far! The only fault I find is the strap that it comes with. It needs to be more sturdy. In fact, I bought a heavier one to use with it. I would recommend it if you hunt. Does not work well with close distences.
