Summary: Easy to use. Very cool. not a lot of Zoom but you can pick out movement really easily. I've seen coyotes, opossum, and skunks walking through the yards at night. now I can tell why my dog is barking.
Excerpt: I use it when walking on moonless nights. It is small and has Bushnell quality. The only problem I have with it is, while walking and wearing it around my neck the focus knobs turn and have to stop and re-focus.
Excerpt: Purchased this as an inexpensive tool for boating at night. It amplifies the light enough to spot navigation markers at short distances and doesn't require me ruining my night vision with a spot light. The IR illumination doesn't reach far enough to be useful on the water but even without that it still does the trick.
Summary: this night vision scope out preformed a scope i had befor that cost around- $500.00. its packaged very nice. nice case. very clear image up to about 100 yards. very much like the one i used in VIET NAM only more compact.
Excerpt: Accurate Ranging: NO- I can not even see to the end of my yard, room to room it's fine, but pass that these are not the device for it.Security: NO - you have to be so close that the person can see youQuality Lenses: NO - Focus is [*], you can not go a hair to the left or rightwith the focus knob.if your focused at 5ft.
Excerpt: bought it to check out animals at night. Device is good for casual, stationary gazing into fields/woods, but not good enough to use on the move or as a means of situational awareness. both range and field of view are limited. cheap though, I'd say worth > 50% of what I paid for it.
