Summary: Just moved up from 8 x 42 to these at 10 x 42. Extra weight is no problem and image is crystal clear. I personally don't think there's any need to pay expensive when these binoculars are on sale (I was looking at Nikon at over twice this price). This is my second pair of Bushnells and they work well. Focusing has to be done delicately but its easily mastered and then its a fantastic image. If it was possible I would have given these binoculars 4.5 stars.
Summary: There's an old saying don't spoil the ship for a hap'th of tar, Bushnell i hope you read this WHY O WHY have you put those cheap covers on the objective lens they keep falling out i am sure for a few extra pounds you could have provided more substantial covers. However on to the binos, I am a keen birder and decided to upgrade to 10x42 to give me a bit more detail and i have not been disappointed these natureview binos are perfect they do just what it says on the tin !!
Summary: Having read various on-line reviews and on the recomendation of a friend I ordered the Bushnells because of the excellent value for money they represent, the build quality is very good and the tactile feel is excellent. The strap will probably need to be replaced for something with more padding and the lens covers are a waste of time. However, the optics are clear, bright and exceptional for the price you pay when compared to much higher priced models.
Summary: Very pleased with these.Used over three weeks in Kruger; they were light enough not to cause fatigue (but see below!) when viewing for long periods and worked very well in the low light of early morning/ evening. Just one gripe (which is why the four stars not five), when I first found them they were £112, when I bought them (10 days later) they'd gone up to £123, then a week later they were down to £109 - all prices from the same supplier!!!
Excerpt: Got these bins for watching birds while out on my photography trips and have to say that Im very impressed with them. Build quality is great for a pair of bins in this price range and the image quality is fantastic. A friend of mine has a pair of Swarovski binoculars and he found it hard to find fault with them and thought they were nearly as good. The only major difference we found between them was the Swarovskis were slightly better in low light.
Summary: No expert, but they're a major improvement over my previous purchases. Clarity, colour and detail are superb. Would have got 5* were in not for the poor fitting objective lens covers - they just fall out! At least the eyepiece cover works.
Summary: The Bushnell binoculars are exactly what I need for bird watching and also general purpose. There was a delay with my first order as the Royal Mail had completely crushed them somewhere in transit. A second pair duly arrived with an apology from Amazon and my postage returned because of the inconvenience. I am now awaiting a delivery of a webcam, there is yet another delay of almost a week because of the inept service of Royal Mail.
