Summary: I have spent ages deciding which binoculars to buy and as these offered good spec. at a fair price, I finally ordered the Barr & Stroud 10 x 42. I am very pleased with them as they are not too large, offer great optics and a really nice carry case, Just the job.
Summary: These are the first pair of binoculars I have ever purchased so I did my homework and utilised all previous reviews. These are used to supplement my wildlife/bird watching/photography. Simply, these binoculars are superb.
Summary: I haven't owned a pair of binoculars for years so it was with some trepidation that I set out to choose a pair. I didn't want to carry too much weight as I have all of my photography equipment so I was a little concerned that these may be flimsy or not produce a decent image.
Summary: I purchased these binos as I had previous experience with B&S equipment and they came at a very competitive price. Compact, powerful and very clear, I have been able to identify difficult objects at my work from much greater distances than previously.
Summary: Like many others I read quite a few reviews on various binoculars but decided to go for these as I know the company name from their presence in Glasgow and friends who worked for them many years ago.
Summary: I needed a new pair of binoculars for wildlife watching, ones that would perform well without breaking the bank. These fit the bill perfectly and in fact having used them now for a few months through a Scottish winter, I have been very impressed.
Summary: First pair I have ever bought. Wasn`t sure what the magnifying would produce. Glad I bought these as they are good at picking up detail of birds in trees 50 yards away. The magnifying control is very easy and quick. They also look a decent quality. For a novice they are very good.
