Summary: I stumbled across this hot little lady at guitar center one day, played it for ten minutes and bought it. I'm pretty indecisive when making a large purchase usually, but thats how great this thing was. It came out of the factory set up the way I like, so low the bass cannot lean forward without getting buzz..fun stuff. This thing is loud and punchy, about 30% louder through my amp then any of my other basses. This bass cuts through the mix just fine live.
Pros: Good price for a great sounding and playing instrument
Cons: My peavey did not make me pancakes this morning
Summary: I saw this bass and played it fell in love with it and bought it. The pickups and tone controls sounded microphonic so replaced them with bartollini PU's and 3 band active w/pull pasive. This Bass is Awesome to say the least!!
Summary: Got a steal @ GC last week on this. Had it set up and it plays like butter! Tried several 5's and I was leaving I saw this one hanging by the PRS's. It looked outta' place so I grabbed it. I looked at the Price tag and thought, either it's a POS or tagged wrong. Played it and KNEW it was tagged wrong ($195.). Took it to the salesman who had been hanging around me and had him take 10% off with the coupon I printed from the web site, and left with a BIG SMILE!
Summary: I love this thing! It is well worth the price. Mine is tiger eye top with black hardware. It took me a little time to get used to the 35" scale but now that I have, I love it! I love the versitility of sound you can get out of it. I love the finish and I had a hard time deciding between the tiger eye and the bubinga top. They are both gorgeous. My previous bass was a ibanez edg 600 and the bxp feels light as a feather compared to the ibanez.
Summary: This bass is gorgeous. Mine came with gold hardware. Individually adjusting bridge, dual expanding truss-rod and neck through construction makes this bass top in it's price class. The only negative to me is the 35" scale, which was a little hard for me to get used to. I've played American Cirruses, and this is the next best thing for a much cheaper price tag. Bass has a more modern sound with the active electronics, but has a wide variety of tonal options.
Pros: Lightweight, Neck-thru, Gorgeous finish and feel
