Great For Digial Signage System
16 July 2013
Summary: Over the last eight months my company has purchased 12 of these as part of a digital signage system and they have worked flawlessly. The only (very minor) problem we had is that one unit arrived with a non-functional power supply but, of course, Amazon replaced it very quickly.
Summary: It really works great for streaming media from the server to the living room TV. I would recommend anyone that is looking for a small box to run as an HTPC to pick this up.
Pros: It's small and doesn't really look out of place in the entertainment center. It is really quiet you can't even tell it is there.
Cons: It does run very hot sometimes and with no active cooling this can cause some problems. I have had it for a year now and about 2 months ago I got a S.M.A.R.T. hard drive error but never lost any data, but since all it does is run an Ubuntu and XBMC no harm was done.
Summary: still trying to see if there's some way I can fix the buffer issue for optical with software, if I can I will update, but so far it seams to just be a problem with sub-par hardware in this case.
Pros: Small, extremely quiet, plays 1080p video streamed from a NAS with xbmc (in either windows 8 or ubuntu 12.04) without any trouble. I bought this to be an htpc so streaming HD video was really my only big concern. Owner for a few months now and have had 0 problems with it (save for the one con I m...
Cons: Optical Audio Out. I bought this system because it was one of very few small form factor, cheap(ish), low power, PC's with optical audio out. The problem I have here is that when playing video for more than about 20 minutes the optical audio will get out of sync with the video (trail behind by mo...

Summary: It's a very light-weight, ultra-quiet, portable desktop computer that everyone should have instead of a desktop. I own two of them. They're great. We use one in our living room connected to our TV screen. We use it to stream movies and music and for all our other computer needs.
Summary: This little computer, quiet and powerful enough to check my email, and to review some spreadsheets and Word documents. It plays perfectly for these applications, without noise, without taking up space, and with a minimum expenditure of power. I recommend it!
Summary: I bought this product because I wanted a compact lightweight PC. My Zbox is great! Its lightweight, compact and I can take it anywhere and hook it up to anything. I upgraded the RAM easily as it was made easy to upgrade. Lots of USB ports!
Summary: I have 2 of these around the home running Ubuntu 12.04 with mythtv and XBMC. I have HDMI Audio working well on both through mythfrontend and XBMC and I use these quite often. One of them is used in my home theater and if you turn of the blue circle light and modify the fan speed settings it fits in...
Summary: I bought this computer to setup a home network. What I have done is: 1) Installed Ubuntu Server. I administer it remotely via SSH. 2) Attached a to configure a firewall. 3) Configured iptables/Squid/Squidguard that allows me to control how/who/when connects to the internet from my wireless access...
