  • Excerpt: Shuttle launched their new line of "Zen" XPC small form factor cases a little while ago and we got the chance to check out their Zen ST62K XPC just recently. It features a new design with some interesting changes inside such as an external power supply unit which help reduces the size and weight. Are these features alone enough to make it a viable option? Read on and find out our thoughts.

  • Conclusion: If you need real 3D grunt from your baby-puter, then an SFF box with an AGP slot is for you; the Zen's not a great deal cheaper than various tweaky SFF models. And if you want an optical drive that matches the Zen's finish, there aren't many choices.

Shuttle ZEN XPC ST62K

PC Authority
21 July 2005
  • Summary: This barebones is a little smaller and less featured than the larger barebones with expansion options, but for what it is, this is one of the better barebones systems on the market right now.

  • Conclusion: The new Zen series in Shuttle's XPC empire is off to a good start as it posses many appealing attributes for its target group. Currently, the one and only SFF in this series is the Zen XPC ST62K, but that alone has shown potential for more permutations of such systems in the coming future.

Shuttle ST62K

Hardware.no
24 March 2004
