Took a real chance on this.

Anonymous, Newegg
24 March 2014
  • Summary: System thus far: e5300 Pentium Dual Core 2x 1GB Hynx DDR3 500GB SATA
  • Pros: I took a real chance on this. All the reviews said this barebone just doesn't work but the specs were exactly what I was looking for. So I took a chance and guess what...so far so good. I've installed Windows 7 32bit and Office 2010 with no issies
  • Cons: Reason for only four eggs was the difficulty taking this barebone apart. I just about destroyed the optical drive cover just to get the front cover off. Shockingly I didn't break anything else. And it's not a huge deal but for the price a built in wifi card would have been nice too. Since it has ...

Don't bother

Kyle H., Newegg
28 January 2013
  • Summary: Rather moot as the thing doesn't work, but the power supply is an external brick type. I wish they would have made the case a bit bigger and put it internally, instead.
  • Pros: Relatively cheap. Small, and attractive case design.
  • Cons: The thing doesn't work. When I read the previous reviews on this Site, you I assumed that they were either outliers or that the problem had been resolved by now. It appears I was wrong. After I sent g my Core2 duo e8400, 4 gb of ram, and and sata ssd, I powered it on. I get no video and one long,...

Not Great

Josh V., Newegg
21 December 2011
  • Pros: Includes the slim cd-dvd optical drive.
  • Cons: There is no support page on MSI's website for this product. Had issue with the motherboard having a constant beep. The motherboard is a MS-7472 which is also no where to be found on the support site. There is no cpu compatible so its a shot in the dark. I would not buy this unless you can get a c...

Not good yet

Josh V., Newegg
20 December 2011
  • Summary: First time I have bought an MSI product, might be the last unless their tech support comes through.
  • Pros: Comes with the slim optical drive.
  • Cons: Unit will not boot. I just get one continuous beep form the motherboard, switch memory around to no avail. Has to be a motherboard memory error. Waiting to hear back from MSI. There is no support/download page for this product on their website. Motherboard is a model MS-7472 which also does not h...

  • Summary: It was interesting to see really nobody has a clue regarding this product in MSI.. it took them 10 minutes to find what mobo in it. Anyway, we are returning the product, don't buy.
  • Pros: none
  • Cons: update to my previous feedback. So we ordered E5700 dual core processors, now no video, Not to mention we also ordered little wireless cards too. Michael is trying to help us as we speak, he suspects the Crucial memory might be the problem.

Just Don't Do it.

LOUIS R., Newegg
23 May 2011
  • Summary: First of all, it doesn't take the processors it says it does, we ordered just Core2Duo E7500 not even quad and it didn't work, so we opened the other one to see if the first one was defective, it wasn't.
  • Pros: great looks.
  • Cons: doesn't work. Look, we are computer service and sales company in Texas, probably buy 100K worth stuff from NewEgg and hands down, NewEgg is the best however this little barebone is not. Read my notes below if your considering this junk.
