  • Summary: This is close to perfect. Wifi is perfect with the "Intel Network 7260.HMWG WiFi Wireless-AC 7260" card installed. It constantly wakes up from sleep mode and I think its an issue with Displayport or HDMI. I could have utilized more than 2 USB ports in the back.

The future is Now!

  • Excerpt: Intel's NUC "next unit of computing" delivers on specs and driver support. Purchased this unit to use as an OpenELEC/ Kodi box and I had no headaches trying to find supported Linux drivers. My goal was to be able to play 10-bit h264 .MKV's and does so flawlessly.

Excellent small form factor

xatomnaix, Amazon
6 January 2015
  • Summary: Pros: Excellent small form factor, slightly larger than an Apple TV. You can literally put it in your pocket and carry it with you if you had to. Very quiet, very easy to install the components. Makes a perfect home theater PC when you add an external HDD to it. Cons: For some reason the "without powercord" option is more expensive than the "with powercord" option?

Small but Powerful

Sharon, Amazon
4 January 2015
  • Summary: I use this as my primary computer. It attaches to the back of my monitor so leaves my desk space very clean and tidy. Installation was a bit tricky as I had quite a few hiccups with the initial setup process (first nuc had a corrupted motherboard, and I also had an issue with a bad ram card). Despite a very painful setup process I am pleased with the end result.

How Could Something So Small Be So Powerful?

H. B. Calder, Amazon
28 December 2014
  • Summary: You have to patiently step through all of the driver downloads. Some are at windows, some are at Intel. But, once it is all loaded and up and running it works like a charm. I am using it as an HTPC. I installed a 500 GB SSD drive and 16GB of memory.

  • Summary: I bought this little box to run in my office as an energy efficient continuous integration server, and loaded it up with a 120M SSD and 16G RAM. I've got Debian 7 installed on it as the base operating system. So far, it's working beautifully. I have a continuous integration server package running on it (Jenkins CI) that builds virtual machines for running automated tests, then tears down the virtual machine and leaves the test results for reporting purposes.

  • Summary: I Honestly build high end gaming rigs... left and right when my friend opened the box to this NUC and I heard the sound I was sold, listed my x99 34k Firesrike 3dmark pc ASAP. Over all is a great system with such a small footprint for its PoweR. who needs to render at Terra flops, i just need to be-able to host multiple applications on a system that wont under or over power its self.

  • Summary: Installed 16Gb memory, Crucial M500, 480Gb mSATA Logitech K400 wireless keyboard and Windows 10 Plus an external USB blue ray dvd player/recorder, a usb harddrive and a 128GB USB flashdrive. The msata drive was not initially recognized. I had add a delay in the bios setup.
