Fan is super loud and annoying. Performance is mediocre.

Summary: It is small, I will give it that, and works average. However, it has the loudest fan I have ever heard. Not loud like there is something wrong with it, but loud in that it makes a lot of air noise. And the fan is always on and always changing speed, making the noise even more noticeable..
Summary: Excellent small form factor. Using this as a PC for the kitchen attached to a 24" LCD TV. Works great for family emails, recipes and just general searching. While the TV is a smart TV the interface of smart TVs is lacking compared to PC so Netflix, Hulu and other services just seem easier on the PC.
Cons: Unreliable audio: this thing is as stubborn as a child when it comes to outputting audio over HDMI. Seriosly it seems like magic when it actually works. The WiFi card seems not to like to play nice with routers. Caps out at 1.5MBps with a Netgear 450.
Summary: Sadly, this little unit was a big disappointment. I only got about 10 minutes of usage out of the Brix before is stopped powering on. One minute it worked, the next it did not. I didn't even get to install an OS. I am returning this for a refund.
Summary: This Brix is fast and quiet. I am using it as a work at home pc. No reason to get a laptop with its heavy screen. I bought a new hdmi touch screen for windows 8 and then hooked up my old vga monitor via a vga to minidisplay port adapter.
