Excerpt: I am a gadget geek but recently, the main factor when buying a new gadget is power consumption. I have had the Acer Revo for around 2 months and it cost just £200 new. Firstly, this PC does not make any noise like my old PC which sounds like a jet engine. The Revo is silent, its very nice and I think this would be great for when working in an office because I don't like the noise of lots of PCs. Its not loud but the small low buzzing noise can be annoying.
Summary: Bought a similar model, the Packard Bell imax mini N3600, same specs, same machine, just rebranded as packard bell.. quick thing.. its underpowered.. so i did the following to optimize the performance: - Uninstall all unwanted programs and games - Install TuneUp Utilities 2011 - Install CCleaner - Install Media Player Classic Home Cinema.

Summary: ...maybe 'not out the box'.... BUT install XBMC for Windows and install the BBC iplayer plugin....working fine here :) we have 3 around the house used JUST for media playback...even 1080p @ 24 Frames Per Second. great machines....
Summary: I realy like this product. It looks fab and for the job i needed it for, powerfull enough to. Easy to set up. Great for a start up pc. the wireless keybord and mouse is also also quite stylish. keybord is quite small if your used to a full size one. I wished it was slightly faster but ultimately you get what you pay for and on ballance it is great value. If your fed up with the huge box on the desk or floor then this pc is for you.
Summary: Great product silent pretty fast, comes with win 7 64 bit and a lot of extra software you don't need. Uninstalled almost all that and put Microsoft Security Essentials for anti virus protection(light weight). Another important note is you need to update all your windows drivers and install CoreAVC codecs to be able to play smoothly 720p and 1080p video.
Summary: When I recieved this 'nettop' pc the first thing I did was insert a 500GB hard drive that I bought from Amazon, and installed Windows 7 on it. It is connected to my TV displaying in full 1080p and playing Blu-Rays and DVDs through an external drive. I have also purchased a wireless keyboard with a built in trackball for navigating around Windows Media Centre, and browsing the web on the big screen (it is better than a Remote control for the reason that you can enter web...

Summary: I love this machine. I hook it up to a 40inch sony bravia lcd and it's almost too high resolution. I put boxee on it and it runs like a dream. I was worried about intel atom but the nvidia ION does what it says - it does hi-end graphics without taxing the intel atom. All in all, this is a well thought out solution. I have no complaints whatsoever. One quibble I do have is that it doesn't come with a HDMI cable.
Summary: Tremendous little machine, does exactly what it says on the tin. A little slow at times but for the price what do you want? One of the main things that i bought this for is to watch iplayer etc on my widescreen at home. It fits in great behind my telly and obviously connects via an hdmi cable. Again a great buy!
Summary: Absolutely astonishing piece of kit. Almost silent, came with 64bit Windows 7, fits on the back of a monitor with VESA mount, uses HDMI so you don't even need speakers if your monitor has them. And the price is ridiculous. All in, with a 24" Acer monitor £450 - not at all bad. I use one attached to my main TV via HDMI for media including iPlayer and streamed content on home network with external DVD drive for movie playback, and have another in my office at work on the...
