I'm trying to get my R3610 set up. It is the Linux-only version and comes with Atheron AR5BXB63 WLAN built in. The wireless isn't working out-of-the-box and it is taking me forever to figure it out. Acer support kept me on hold and then disconnected me; I'm not pleased with that either. I try to set up the wireless connection and the system requests me to select the Ethernet Adapter. The menu shows about 50 choices starting with one from 3Com and ending with Xircom, but nothing from Atheros. Do I really have to download and install the ethernet adapter software? I don't like this one bit.

In the end I scrapped Linpus Linux that came with the machine and installed Ubuntu 10.04 fresh, and with that the wireless worked. I quite resent Acer Co for having wasted my time this way. I won't buy from them
