Stopped working after 2 weeks

Mark R. Anderson "Mr Fixit", Amazon
3 September 2013
  • Summary: This is a very delicate scanner. It stopped working after 2 weeks of moderate use.It also was a touch scanner in that you needed to place the scanner right on the barcode surface. This actually would help with scanning errors.

Great price for a backup scanner

JamesJ, Amazon
9 October 2012
  • Summary: I picked this scanner up as a corded backup for my wireless scanner. Product arrived on time, box was a little banged up but the scanner itself was in perfect condition. I pretty much hooked this thing into the PC and it began scanning immediately. To date we have had absolutely no issues and for the price we are certainly happy with our purchase. This is now my second Wasp scanner and can't say enough good things about our experience so far.

Three for Three

Earl L., Newegg
8 August 2011
  • Summary: It's great to have such a reliable source for computer peripherals.
  • Pros: Just like the last time....order it one day, receive it the next. Plug it in, go to work. This is our third, could not be more satisfied
  • Cons: Huh?

Plug it in

Michael B., Newegg
16 March 2011
  • Summary: I only had to change one setting from factory defaults to make it work for my application.
  • Pros: As was said twice already, the only install instructions are plug it in and start using it. Changing settings is very easy.
  • Cons: none

Poor performer

John F, TigerDirect.com
14 October 2010
  • Summary: It worked great on the bar-codes that it read, but on the ones it didn't hit first time, distance, angle, or timing changes made no difference. These were all the same format labels, code, and flat boxes. The only visible difference being clear packing tape over the failed codes. Other than that it looks like a reasonable unit. Had to return for exchange to a more reliable reader.

  • Summary: This product works great for what I use it for though it doesn't have some of the options of the more expensive units. Very simple and dependable design and functionality.

Okay Scanner

Jenn, TigerDirect.com
6 August 2009
  • Summary: This scanner works okay. It sometimes takes 9 times to get it to scan. You need software also if you want to do inventory. Not as great of a product as I had hoped it would be for the money spent.

Bar Code Reader

Earl L., Newegg
16 February 2009
  • Summary: Ordered from Newegg on Wednesday, arrived on our doorstep on Thursday, in perfect condition. We are very pleased with the purchases we have made at Newegg.
  • Pros: This product must be in competition for "Most Robust Computer Peripheral". Installation instructions: "Plug it in." Came preset for "most" applications. We use BarCode39 book labels and library cards. This product worked right out of the box, and has ever since. If adjustment is needed, turn to the appropriate page in the manual and scan a bar code. Adjustment is complete. What could be simpler? To reset to factory default, yup you guessed it, turn to the appropriate ...
