Summary: In general I've been content with the Valco Runabout -- content, not thrilled. I live in a hilly neighborhood and miss not having a hand break (as I did on my former stroller, a BOB). My bigger problem with the Valco though, is that as noted by a previous reviewer, the straps are far too short. They started becoming snug on my daughter when she was only about nine months old. Now she's one, and the straps are uncomfortably tight -- especially when she's wearing a coat.
Summary: As a single stroller, this is a *fabulous* purchase. Unfortunately, I bought it specifically to use as a double stroller when I was pregnant w/Number 2. I already had three strollers (ugh!) but none had the possibility of conversion to a double. I loved the idea of putting my son in a "captain's seat" up front, allowing my children to be at relatively the same height (unlike Phil & Ted's) and not having to push around a double-wide.
Summary: I was not aware how large and heavy this stroller was until it arrived. If you have a car other then an SUV you'll probably struggle to fit the stroller into your trunk. Also, if you're a smaller size mom, it will be a real challenge to put this stroller down any set of steps. Finally, I found the seatbelt clasp very rough and hard to unlatch.
