Excerpt: Silver Cross is probably one of the most recognisable brands of baby products currently on the market. It’s been producing prams since 1877 and more than 10 million babies have used its products.
Pros: Forward or parent facing, very lightweight and compact for a travel system, all-terrain, spacious, comfortable, stylish, good suspension, excellent rain covers
Cons: No fold with seat on, very limited space in basket, expensive
Conclusion: The Surf Elevation offers a top performance. It’s stylish, has good suspension, great tyres and an fairly easy-to-use travel system set-up. It’s not cheap, but it offers a great number of practical features and has a quality feel.
Pros: Stylish, suitable from birth with babynest included, Silver Cross car seat can be fitted in car with seatbelt or ISOFIX base, reversible buggy seat, air-filled rear wheels with chunky tread plus increased clearance and air suspension smooth out bumps in the terrain
Cons: Shopping basket isn't that big, The shopping basket is bigger, probably over 100% bigger, but it is still smaller than those found on some other all-terrain buggies. For me, if Silver Cross threw in some buggy clips to hold my shopping, this would be perfect.
Excerpt: The Silver Cross Surf, a newcomer for the company in 2010, spent two years being developed. And it shows. The quality was evident from the moment I received the very compact-looking box – inside the Surf was carefully wrapped in tissue paper, like a gift.
Pros: Travel system compatible, easy to push, cosy enough to use from birth with lie-flat seat and Babynest, smooth ride, forward or rear facing mode, accessories included in price
Cons: Very small shopping basket, doesn't fold with seat attached
Excerpt: The arrival of the Silver Cross Surf has been long awaited. It was two years in development, during which time, to quote design director Phil Taylor, “We started with a totally blank piece of paper, we questioned everything.” So is the Surf that different?
Pros: lightweight, cosy enough to use from birth with Babynest and lie-flat seat, really good ride, can used as a forward or rear facing buggy
