May send a good "vibe" from the description, but not worth the money

  • Summary: Phil&Ted's makes wonderful products, but I'd recommend going for one of the less fancy/less expensive strollers. I was not convinced that more money = a better stroller in this case!
  • Pros: Option of folding with 2nd seat on, bigger sunshade, click & slide mechanism, comfortable seat
  • Cons: Cheaply made, bulkier and heavier, uncomfortable handlebar, shorter 2nd seat, wider newborn setting

  • Excerpt: i used to like this but as i have now had two where the chassis has sheared at the frame. I no longer am impressed. It has some features that i really like though - it's roomier than the sport, the brake in the handlebar is good and they've improved the shape of handlebar as well. The front wheel has a tendency to buckle and the tyres wear thin very easily. For an expensive bit of kit i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

  • Excerpt: I bought this for my 2 year old and newborn. The cocoon is brilliant! I would say a must have for a newborn! The pushchair itself has its issues..... The brake can be a bit fickle and lock on when rolling along. Initially when it is new its a bit fiddly to fold down - you must make sure the basket is tucked in before collapsing otherwise it gets jammed under the wheel and it wont close.

  • Excerpt: I liked this buggy a lot when it was being used for newborn in cocoon and toddler seat up top. Except toddler DS was only 2 and he was already too tall for toddler seat. I had to push the seat through and now there is no recline on it at all. Now DD 1.5 hates the rear seat and DS 3.5, who i am trying to discourage from using it at all, legs hang over the end of the front seat and he looks ridiculous.

I am currently speaking to the company who seem far from helpful. the back seat is very uncomfortable and does not recline.

  • Excerpt: PLEASE READ BELOW ================= Lots of people have had problems with the front wheel of this buggy not steering properly. You can fix this by removing it, spraying Pledge in there (I guess any similar polish would work) and putting it back on. They should tell you this in the shop but don't!

  • Excerpt: I am utterly fed up with this push chair. On our first trip out I hit a tree and a car because of an issue with the front wheel sticking. I got the merchant we bought it from to check it over, and it came back working ok. Two weeks and about four trips (all on-road) later, and the same thing has happened again. This time I nearly ended up pushing my two young children into a main road because of this issue with the wheel pointing in the wrong way.

" I've recently bought a phil & teds vibe - the…"

  • Excerpt: I've recently bought a phil & teds vibe - the only critisism I have is the direction of the front wheel, if it's facing the wrong way you end up going backwards and forwards! I'm really struggling with it, especially in shops where you turn a lot. I dont know if it's cos i'm 8 mths pregnant and find it heavy or just not used to a 3 wheeler? It's very frustrating. apart from that I love it. Bit big though.
