Wish I Bought Something Else
18 June 2012
Summary: I have not used this as a double, so cannot comment, however, I have owned a P&T Sport, Loola, Quinny Buzz & Zapp and a Graco something and this is by far the worst pushchair. I really loved the sport, even with it's few problems and but I thought P&T would have resolved these issues and made an even better product. I was wrong. They have resolved a few classic Sport issues, but have now made a few worse ones!
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy To Clean, Quality Construction
Summary: The instructions that came with the Explorer were not informative and I struggled to set up the product up.

We live in Penistone which is very hilly and some of the paths that I walk to nursery slope down towards the roads (width ways across the path), this is where the Explorer fails to meet expectations.
Cons: Bulky, Cumbersome, Hard To Manoeuvre, Too Heavy
" What a complete waste of money! I bought this pushchair…"

Excerpt: What a complete waste of money! I bought this pushchair after reading lots of reviews as I was expecting my second child. My first pushchair was a Jane Slalom Pro, and there really is no comparison between the two. The Phil and Teds feels very cheap and not at all sturdy. It is very difficult to try and get up and down kerbs and trying to pivot on the front wheel is nearly impossible, making going up and down steps into shops horrendous.
Excerpt: As someone that has used the chair with two children since my 3rd was born in July last year I can say in the last 6 months it has spent about 25% of its time being repaired for punctures. Yes it looks good and seems to be the answer but I can assure you it is not this chair is an expensive mistake if you wish to spend your time repairing punctures and replacing tyres and inner tubes then this is the chair for you. If you would rather enjoy your children look elsewhere.
Excerpt: After looking enviously at lots of other mothers and reading hundreds of reviews of the Phil & Teds E3 I finally bought one when I had my second child in 2006. Initially I was amazed by the fantastic handling of this buggy, as it is easier to steer than most single buggies. One hand can get it swiftly round a corner and up a curb no problem, plus it looks GREAT!
Excerpt: Being in the business of caring for children I am always on the look out for products that will make my life easier, and more comfortable for the children. I wanted to replace both my single and double buggies after many years of solid dependable use. I started researching the market and thought that the Phil and Teds E3 sounded perfect, I could have one multifunction buggy. Well how wrong could I be, after roadtesting the buggy I was bitterly dissapointed.

Excerpt: Awful. The frame broke within 6 months, I had to wait ages for it to be repaired (under guarantee), and then it came back from the manufactuers filthy and missing a hole on the frame to slot the hood into! The canvas is shabby after only a year and the zips to adjust the back are difficult to do, and the tags to hold onto the zip up and down broke quickly. It is easy to steer, and comfortable. Nightmare to fold, shopping basket broke uickly..

Excerpt: Unfortunately I have been extremely disappointed with the quality of this product. Firstly I had to have the whole frame replaced as one of the catches that holds the buggy together ( which there is only 2 of)did not line up with the pin. Then i had to have the storm cover replaced as the one i had did not fit.
