Conclusion: The Mothercare Trenton Deluxe travel system is big and at times heavy, but it moves well and is a pleasure to push on the flat. With its more unusual features - such as its basket and temperature gauge - it offers far more than your average buggy. However, just be aware that your child may grow out of it sooner than you imagine.
Pros: Ample storage, large wheels are fast on the flat, good suspension, carrycot and car seat included in the price, At £280.00 the Trenton Deluxe is good value for money. It comes with rather a lot of frills though and that won’t be to everyone’s taste. I was surprised how helpful I found the clock and how many times I checked to see what the temperature was (though, we have had sub-zero temperatures lately and it remained sat on ‘0’, so it wasn’t always accurate). Cons: Big, bulky, heavy to get uphill, maybe outgrown quickly, Parents of taller toddlers may well find their child grows out of the buggy much sooner than expected. Esme, just over 2, is quite tall for her age but only weighs 14kg and was still sat with her knees up under the bumper bar/play tray. Disappointingly, the cosytoes offered no growing room whatsoever. The carrycot is supposedly suitable for babies up to 6 months, and Jonathan, just 6 months, was very snug indeed...
