Maxi Cosi Mura - A great buy

das101, Made for Mums
12 August 2011
  • Summary: We bought the Maxi Cosi Mura 3 as a travel system and it has been really useful. We live in the countryside so we wanted something that would be practical and sturdy which this has. In town it is a little bit wide and awkward but having said that we haven't had any serious issues and use round town just as easily as crossing the fields with our dogs. I would say don't bother purchasing the sun parasol as it doesn't work very well on this frame.
  • Pros: Easy to push, comfortable ride, not many about so looks a little different, travel system compatible.
  • Cons: Heavy, need a large boot space, quite wide and tricky to manouvere, sun shade isn't the best design

A very stylish 3 wheeler, great from newborn to 4yrs.

  • Summary: I loved the look of this pushchair as soon as I saw it. I particularly thought it was great due to the large (reversible)seat unit that will still look great once baby's 3 or 4yrs old. I bought the hard carrycot (when it was on offer) and used that until baby was 8 months, this was great on the pushchair and also for daytime naps. I also bought the fantastic cabriofix car seat which fits onto the chassis easily, and is great in the car.
  • Pros: Compatible with maxi-cosi cabriofix car seat, mura hard carrycot and mura soft carrycot - taking it from birth to 4yrs. Reversible seat unit - baby can face Mum or face the front. Easy to push and turn.
  • Cons: Rather chunky when folded. Wheelbase a bit on the wide side!

Trendy but heavy

  • Summary: The moment i set eyes on the Mura 3 i was in love, it looks good and being made by Maxi Cosi i knew it would be well made. From day 1 of owning it i worried about the width but thought it would be ok, but my god its like pushing a tank about. When faced with moving aside on pavements its a task to keep us on the pavement and not in the road.
  • Pros: Baby looks snug, price, build, rear & forward facing
  • Cons: Big, bulky, heavy, very wide

  • Summary: As our little one isn't due until February, we haven't used our pram body yet, however on initial inspection it appears to be extremely sturdy and well made, and absolutely beautiful. We are delighted with this item so far!
