" Good for the first year…"

aliedwards, Mumsnet
21 September 2013
  • Excerpt: I bought this with the travel system. I never used the carry cot with it. But it was fab for the early days of slotting the car seat into the frame. When he got bigger the Elea came into it's own with lots of reclining positions so he easily fell asleep it in. For the first year this buggy was fab. We had a dog then and I used it in lots of muddy parks and it was fine. The wheels detach which mean it can be cleaned.

" A dream to push…"

30 July 2013
  • Excerpt: My son is now 3 months old and it took me months to decide on a pram. I've been borrowing a friends pram until I finally decided on the Elea. I couldn't find that many reviews online but the few I did find were all positive. It arrived this morning, I set about assembling it which took about 15 minutes. It's pretty straight forward.

" Suitable from birth with no extras…"

Raq77, Mumsnet
9 January 2013
  • Excerpt: When I was looking for a pram/pushchair I really wanted one which would go straight from birth without needing to buy a carry cot. The Elea fit the bill perfectly and we have now been using it for 6 months. The baby nest keeps baby really snug and secure, - I've had a loads of compliments from people saying how snug baby looks and he'll happily go to sleep while we're out and about.

" Fab buggy…"

Thegimmer, Mumsnet
27 May 2012
  • Excerpt: After spending hours and hours researching out first buggy online then a further 2 hours in our local baby shop testing them out it came down to the Elea and the UppaBaby Vista....I drive a Polo so the decision was split between a buggy I could get into the car (Elea) without removing the wheels and one that I couldn't (UppaBaby)... The Elea also folded down more easily so that's what we went for and I couldn't be happier.

  • Summary: We have bought the Maxi Cosi Elea in total black. Being a first time parents we found the huge variety of prams, pushchairs and travel systems baffling and sometimes overwhelming. We opted for the Elea because it ticked a lot of boxes. It can be folded to a very compact size and its super quick and easy to open. Has the option to lie flat so no need to buy a separate carrycot.

  • Summary: The baby hasn't arrived yet so doesn't seem fair to comment yet as it is not used. I assembled it as soon as it reached me and found it pretty straightforward to put together. It feels quite sturdy, I liked the wheels and the push button mechanism for most of the adjustments on the pushchair.

" Well my ds is now 12weeks old and we've used…"

aliedwards, Mumsnet
11 February 2012
  • Excerpt: Well my ds is now 12weeks old and we've used it pretty much every day. It copes well with the muddy park terrain and the bumpy pavement. The pushchair park can lie flat and has a sleeping bag insert that has kept ds really cosy and warm. Alon with straps to know he won't fall out. I've also been on the train with it. And this is where my only criticism comes it is on the heavy and big side. So trying to bump it down the steps is not easily done.
