  • Conclusion: The Maxi-Cosi Elea travel system is a compact-folding choice for first-time city-going parents. It’s stylish, lives up to its one-handed handling claim and leaves little to complain about.
  • Pros: Stylish, two ways to fold, compact when folded and freestanding, lever to lock swivel wheels is within reach of handlebar, flip-flop friendly brake, rear or forward facing buggy, The folding mechanism is the Elea’s top feature. It folds downwards and then inwards, which reduces the width greatly. A major plus for narrow hallways. When folded with the seat unit attached (the 'daily' fold), the Elea stands up - a top feature where space is at a premium. While very compa...
  • Cons: Small hood, no buggy board option for mums with a toddler, The Elea’s hood isn’t big. It wouldn’t protect your baby's eyes when the angle of the sun is low. • Pros: Two fold mechanisms (with seat and without), very compact fold, stands up when folded, lockable wheel lever within reach of the handlebars, flip-flop friendly brake, reversible seat direction, travel system compatible, The Elea's absolute best feature is the folding mechanism. It not only folds in the common downwards collapse, but also inwards so its width is greatly reduced. A major bonus to those with narrow hallways! When folded with the seat unit still attached (...
  • Cons: Hood is small, cost is fairly high, no buggy board for those with a toddler, The hood is quite small and wouldn’t protect your baby's eyes when the angle of the sun is low, for example, in the late afternoon in summer or in the winter generally. However, you could get around this by having your baby more upright in the buggy. The price is fairly steep, although you do get quite a lot included in the price. Sadly, Maxi-Cosi doesn’t make a toddler buggy board, so it's r...
