Summary: After 4 years and 2 kids I am still in love with this stroller. It pushes so smoothly and turns on a dime. Its like moving over butter! LOL! I love the attachment for the infant carrier and the lightness of the stroller. Its worth the money and the cost.
Excerpt: The title says it all. This has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. It's light weight, easy to steer and super easy to close. I wouldn't giveup this stroller for anything. My brother had one when he was born 1993 and it lasted until 2002 after my youngest brother out grew it.
Excerpt: In my almost 5 years of having a child, I've owned four strollers. Knowing what I know now? I'd only have purchased this one! This is the multi-tasker of cadillac strollers. It does everything, and it does everything WELL!
Excerpt: This is the best stroller ever! My neighbor recommended the Maclaren brand to me after she had purchased hers. Since out son was not born yet, I did my research and decided to purchase this one as my main stroller system.
Excerpt: This isn't our exact stroller, but I think my review applies. We have the Techno XT, it is not a part of a travel system, but otherwise seems very similar to this XLR.We purchased this stroller when our youngest son was born (he's now 5 years old).
Excerpt: I love this stroller! I spent a lot of time researching different strollers and different brands and reading tons of reviews. I chose to buy this one because I was looking first and foremost for a light stroller that would fold down pretty small.
Summary: I absolutly LOVE this stroller, I have been trying to get this color/model since I found out they came out with it in 2008! I have been on EVERYWHERE website and called the companys and no one has had it in stock.
Summary: I have never been a fan of umbrella strollers. I would always see those poor moms hunching down and pushing them. I understood that they were light weight, but I did not want the pain in my back after a day of shopping!!! Low and behold, I saw the Maclaren Techno XLR and it was love at first sight.
Summary: I travelled with my son from when he was 6months old around the world (London, Australia, New Zealand, USA). We are still using it now (age 13 months). Excellent for having a car seat when you land at the destination if being picked up at the airport by relatives who don't have a car seat.
Pros: The only umbrella fold pushchair that fits a carseat so it conforms to airline rules going up to the gate - don't have to check it in with baggage. Easy to fold up and release one-handed. Car-seat is very good quality and lightweight. Comfortable handles, nice suspension, easy to push, not clunky...
Cons: Depth of the pushchair seat is a little long for 1 year-old's legs so he slumps a bit if his legs hang down over the front of the seat. A bit wider than the Techno XT so a little more clumsy to 'drive' in crowded London shops.
