Summary: I bought this product because I have used Bugaboo Strollers in the past. I used to nanny and I love the versatility of this stroller. I love that this stroller will grow with my children and with the addition of a wheelie board will accommodate more than one child. I also love the quality of this stroller! I know that the gecko is an older model that is not longer in production but you can't beat the bugaboo brand! I became an ebayer just to get a stroller like this!
Summary: I love my bugaboo gecko stroller. It is the single best baby item purchase that we have made. I was very frustrated with the bulkiness and weight of my Graco stroller. It is very easy to put together and take apart. It is light weight and can move around ANYTHING!!! At first we thought it wouldn't fit in the trunk of my Honda Civic but after fiddling around with the various ways to fold the stroller it fit perfectly!
Summary: Flexibility of stroller is a fantastic feature - the handle can be switched from forward to rear facing so you can face your baby or let them see what's ahead of you. Tons of possibilities with fabric changes, stroller vs. place for baby to sleep flat when smaller, attachments galore if you want them, turns on a dime, easily switches from one need to the next. Love it. Love it. Love it .
Summary: I think Bugaboo is equivalent of a BMW in cars. The gecko has been really good for us. It is great for a urban center as well as for the beach or mountain. The baby can sleep perfect in there.
Summary: My husband picked this up second-hand as a "spare" pram. We paid £60, although I believe that, when new, they are much more expensive. Bugaboo is good at looking good. You've got lots of colours to pick from (ours was bright green) and about a million accessories - footmuff, nappy bag, cup-holder etc - you can get to go with it, all in matching colours. If you want your pram to be a fashion statement, this is a good choice.
Pros: Can match colours, nice deep carrycot
Cons: No matching car-seat, colours change annually, carrycot a bit small, too short!
Excerpt: I love my gecko! The things I like is the fact you can have baby facing or not, the ease of pushing the pram, the basket is big so you can fit lots on! The brake is easy to use and it's on handle so easy! No scuffed shoes! The wheels come off easily so if you have a small boot you can fit in! Matching accessories r expensive but add colour and individuality! Raincover is compact! The negatives is that you have to take the seat unit off when collapsing!

Excerpt: My problem with the gecko is that it doesn't seem to sit up fully-my toddler won't sit in it as is always slightly reclined. The chameleon sits up far more and would have been a better buy. Also, at 2 years old she is already too tall for it and the hood skims her head when I put it up. Had to buy a Maclaren techno. Should have listened to other mumsnetters and just bought one of these from the start.

Excerpt: This buggy looks great, feels good and has fantastic suspension. The bad points worth considering are that: 1. its very difficult to take apart easily. 2. very expensive. 3. Too wide to fit on most public transport. 4. Too large to put into a standard sized car boot when folded, after a big shop. 5. can only be used with bugaboo accessories which are very expensive as well. I loved it to pieces but i had to get a cheap stroller that folded up well for convenience.
Comfortable and secure - fashionable too, I believe!

Summary: When my 20 month old granddaughter was born my daughter bought the Bugaboo Gecko Stroller because she loved the design of the old fashioned looking carry cot, without the heaviness and bulk of using a real carry cot as she had eight years previously with her middle daughter. Like the wasteful person she is she bought another pushchair once my granddaughter was too big for the carry cot as she didn't like the seat of the Gecko, she asked me if I'd like the Gecko to keep...
Pros: A lovely design, good range of accessories available, easy to push, comfy for baby
Cons: A very expensive pram, the brake release button is not terribly safe in my opinion

Excerpt: I love my Gecko. It handles beautifully, and my daughter looks very comfortable. Every time I think of something I wish it did, I find that it does have that very function. The underseat bag is spacious and secure. We used the pram for six months, which was perfect and have now converted it (easily) to the pushchair. It is very light and we've had no trouble folding it. I frequently get compliments on it when out and about which is nice.
