Summary: I bought this product because I have used Bugaboo Strollers in the past. I used to nanny and I love the versatility of this stroller. I love that this stroller will grow with my children and with the addition of a wheelie board will accommodate more than one child. I also love the quality of this stroller! I know that the gecko is an older model that is not longer in production but you can't beat the bugaboo brand! I became an ebayer just to get a stroller like this!
Summary: I love my bugaboo gecko stroller. It is the single best baby item purchase that we have made. I was very frustrated with the bulkiness and weight of my Graco stroller. It is very easy to put together and take apart. It is light weight and can move around ANYTHING!!! At first we thought it wouldn't fit in the trunk of my Honda Civic but after fiddling around with the various ways to fold the stroller it fit perfectly!
Summary: Flexibility of stroller is a fantastic feature - the handle can be switched from forward to rear facing so you can face your baby or let them see what's ahead of you. Tons of possibilities with fabric changes, stroller vs. place for baby to sleep flat when smaller, attachments galore if you want them, turns on a dime, easily switches from one need to the next. Love it. Love it. Love it .
GOOD PRODUCT WHICH OFFERS EVERYTHING WE CURRENTLY NEED.

Summary: Great product but probably not worth the money. However, I wanted something with the ease of movement of a three wheeler, with big back wheels and a non fixed seat option so baby can face me and away and it seemed to be the only product which ticked all the boxes. So we paid a ton of money for it and I really like it! I think it will suit us for quite some time.
Pros: Very lightweight - makes it easy to put in the car and lift up and down stairs etc. The cot is lovely (esp if you add a sheepskin!) and doubles up as her travel bed. Its very easy to turn - has a very small turning circle so great for shops and town. Great back wheels, big and useful for going down steps and over rough terrain without turning baby into scrambled egg! Like the adaptability of it and have used it with the wheels in different places - muddy forest and sh...
Cons: Price - seems a bit silly to price it so high - but hey, we still bought it! The cot is placed quite low so the baby feels quite near to the floor - but you get used to it. The chassis is quite complex - a couple of times I have had a new mum blank moment and not been able to collapse the frame. For the price you don't get a foot muff which is a bit tight - you have to purchase that as an extra - and also the carry basket under the seat is super small and tricky to ac...
Summary: I think Bugaboo is equivalent of a BMW in cars. The gecko has been really good for us. It is great for a urban center as well as for the beach or mountain. The baby can sleep perfect in there.
Excerpt: I love my gecko! The things I like is the fact you can have baby facing or not, the ease of pushing the pram, the basket is big so you can fit lots on! The brake is easy to use and it's on handle so easy! No scuffed shoes! The wheels come off easily so if you have a small boot you can fit in! Matching accessories r expensive but add colour and individuality! Raincover is compact! The negatives is that you have to take the seat unit off when collapsing!

Excerpt: My problem with the gecko is that it doesn't seem to sit up fully-my toddler won't sit in it as is always slightly reclined. The chameleon sits up far more and would have been a better buy. Also, at 2 years old she is already too tall for it and the hood skims her head when I put it up. Had to buy a Maclaren techno. Should have listened to other mumsnetters and just bought one of these from the start.

Excerpt: This buggy looks great, feels good and has fantastic suspension. The bad points worth considering are that: 1. its very difficult to take apart easily. 2. very expensive. 3. Too wide to fit on most public transport. 4. Too large to put into a standard sized car boot when folded, after a big shop. 5. can only be used with bugaboo accessories which are very expensive as well. I loved it to pieces but i had to get a cheap stroller that folded up well for convenience.

Excerpt: I love my Gecko. It handles beautifully, and my daughter looks very comfortable. Every time I think of something I wish it did, I find that it does have that very function. The underseat bag is spacious and secure. We used the pram for six months, which was perfect and have now converted it (easily) to the pushchair. It is very light and we've had no trouble folding it. I frequently get compliments on it when out and about which is nice.

Excerpt: I liked it until I used the bugaboo cameleion and I wished I had spent more money and got that.its fine and a fab little buggy but my little one was too big for it at 18m his he it the hood so I couldnt use the hood(had several people agree with me on this) and it seemed small for anything other than a young baby.having used the cameleeion I have since bought one of those and love it.fab for older toddlers and if I had my time again I would have just got one of those as...
