Love it, love it, love it

ElsW73, Made for Mums
8 July 2013
  • Summary: Bought bugaboo donkey twin at mothercare using price match - so total price inc car seat adaptor around £900. Not cheap at all but so far (8mo twins) so good and v pleased with our purchase.
  • Pros: Best points: great to push / steer, carrycot size was good (lasted well beyond friends using i-candy, up until about 6kg and would have gone on longer) and carrycot mattresses v comfy so used for daytime sleeps for ages (so saved money by never buying Moses baskets), fits most doors in pram / bug...
  • Cons: Worst points: heavy to lift, rain covers didn't really fit in pram mode (but v easy in buggy mode), frustrating instruction book, slightly too wide in twin car seat mode to get into most shops (fine in supermarkets though), gets a lot of attention (although perhaps this is my super cute boys too!...

Bugaboo Donkey Stroller

Jennifer, baby earth
13 August 2012
  • Summary: We were so excited to receive our Bugaboo Donkey. It has proved to be the perfect stroller for us especially since we plan to have more children. It glides down the road and a baby can sleep through the bumps. It's very versatile and easy to maneuver and use. We love it and highly recommend it!

Absolutely Brilliant!

Pipsicles, Made for Mums
9 April 2012
  • Summary: I LOVE this pram! When we had our first, we always knew we'd want a second fairly close in age, so we started off with a phil and ted's tandem that was passed on to us from a friend.
  • Pros: There are so many different combinations for the way this pram can be used. In mono mode the basket is wonderful and I am already beginning to wonder how I will adjust to not having the changing bag right there! Even with changing bag in tow, there is plenty of room in the basket for shopping. It...
  • Cons: It is heavy - there is no doubt about that, but it doesn't have to be folded with the seats on and we have managed to fit it in the back of our little astra for the last 6months by taking the big back wheels off, which isn't as much of a hassle as it sounds. We have however, just bought a bigger ...

" Poor design…"

PeasinPod1, Mumsnet

  • Excerpt: I am astounded at these positive reviews. My sister had one of these and caused her so much stress. Bugaboos generally are brilliant. But look around, there is a reason there are so few double buggies designed like this (i.e.. side by side rather than on top/bottom) it makes life a nightmare!

" Easy to steer, lightweight, great for both babies…"

Xariyahx, Mumsnet
  • Excerpt: I love my bugaboo donkey, I find it is perfect for my twins, it's easy to steer in any direction due to the wheels being able to unlock. It's perfect for both babies, they can see the whole world or just me as you can face the seats either way.

Great design

6 May 2015
  • Summary: This was the only double that did want I wanted, baby in carrycot facing me, toddler facing out and that also felt roomy. The storage is also good with a basket underneath, and optional add on bag on back of toddler seat.

" Poor quality and poor customer service…"

  • Excerpt: Having two young children (newborn and 1 year) this pushchair we thought this would fit. the quality of the pushchair is not what you would expect for something worth £1200. Our Sola2 pushchair at £160 feels like a RollsRoyce compaired to this.

" great pushchair, a dream to push.…"

MamaLovesBear, Mumsnet
19 November 2014
  • Excerpt: Truly a great pushchair, yes it is pricey but I believe the bugaboo donkey has been worth every penny for us. We don't drive and walk most places using public transport regularly. I only have a 12 month has between my boys and I honestly think this pushchair has made my life 10 times easier.
