Buy something else

  • Summary: First baby so bought the "best" stroller. When used with car seat converter, not too bad (had peg perego). You still have to wrestle with it to get the frame collapsed and into the car... But once you use the whole thing, forget it. It's 2 pieces that take up a TON of space (and I just have 1 baby and a 7 passenger suv). Its a smooth ride and looks great.
  • Cons: Bulky, Cumbersome, Heavy

overrated

Anonymous, Bugaboo strollers

  • Summary: I purchased this stroller thinking it was the "best" and most tested stroller. I made a huge mistake. Two piece design is a total pain, inability to assemble, unfold or refold/disassemble with one hand is a huge hassle, too. The small front wheels are terrible on city sidewalks, especially where street meets sidewalk. My bugaboo has tipped forward so many times and I've slammed my shin into the bar all while trying to prevent the stroller from going all the way over.

If only I had run when she said there was a knack....

  • Summary: I bought the bugaboo because of it was so easy to maneouvre. If only I had considered everything else... 1. You have to take bassinet off rail to put on pushchair - you can't have both at once and once you have changed, you won't be bothered with effort of putting bassinet back on. 2. You can't have rain cover and sun cover on at same time-each has to be threaded on to plastic rail - useless for sunny days with showers.

  • Excerpt: We have a 3 month old bugaboo cameleon and have been using the sun canopy on it but it as damaged the foam on the base by keep placing it on and off, we have fitted it as per instruction on the box but Bugaboo say we have done it wrong and will do nothing about it on warranty, we are disgusted in there customer service, they say no one as ever damaged the frame before which i find hard to believe.

  • Excerpt: A good friend of mine (Katie) was going skiing and asked if we could swap pushchairs for two weeks as she feared her new Cameleon3 may not be so good as my Jane Trider in the snowy conditions she hopefully was going to encounter. As it was just three months old I jumped at the chance and to be honest I was disappointed with its performance.

" Simply not durable enough or worth the money…"

  • Excerpt: For disclosure I am a father who has two daughters now aged two and four. I joined this site specifically to share my experience with the Cameleon. Overall, it is a decent stroller but not worth the money. About 6 years ago these were the "go to" stroller but the competition has improved their products drastically and copied many of the features that made this product unique.

  • Excerpt: Although the brake is set to its maximum position the pram is still moving. This can be a very dangerous when you are on a bus. On top of that the brake snapped recently! You would not expect it with a pram you spent so much money on. I am wondering if there is also a manufacturing fault with the Bugaboo Cameleon (April 2008 production date). Although the brake is set to its maximum position the pram is still moving. On top of that the brake snapped recently!

  • Excerpt: Do not buy this! I now ask everyone I see with a bugaboo what they think and very view would recomment. I bought this for my first child thinking that you get what you pay for and that it would last. We had the following problems. Impossible to get into basket when using pram You cannot swap easily from pram to stroller as need to make up from scratch unless you buy an extra chasis 2 hand complicated fold and unfold and takes up ALOT of space.
