Excerpt: This monitor is great in concept. If it works it does all it claims quite well. However, if you have a problem there is almost no support. My monitor wouldn't connect to my Wifi network. If I pay $[$] for a baby monitor I should be able to get someone on the phone. I would only receive one emai a day to try to fix the problem. It took over a week before I finally replaced the unit. I offered to pay to call someone and was told there is no phone support.
Excerpt: Don't waste your time and money with this piece of junk. The first one we got as a gift did not work at all with my iPhone, iPad, or MacBook. After returning it for a new one, we got it up and running. However, the video feed only worked about half the time. I got a noise level alert on my iphone from the monitor ever few minutes despite the fact that I turned off all of the alerts and there was no noise. Eventually I deleted the app from my phone and just used my iPad.
Amazing bit of kit. I heavily researched baby monitors as many fathers do, highly recommend !!

Summary: Amazing bit of kit. I heavily researched baby monitors as many fathers do, love this unit. I love the way you can be stuck on the motorway & see the baby at home & even when abroad using wi-fi. Utterly reliable & self connects after power failure. We have 2 iphones & 1 ipad working symultaneously with the unit - high build quality Great the way i can change the volume, music type & even speak have 2 way conversation whilst remote.
Summary: I have had mine for 1 year now and so want to be able to say I have enjoyed that time but I can not! Losses connection a lot but my biggest gripe is at night mine goes from working ok, to completely dark. I have to disable video via smart phone or computer and enable again for it to work but again it only works for about 2 mins and goes dark again.
Summary: For this price, I would have expected something spectacular, however the Android application is buggy and the monitor absolutely HAS to feed through the internet - it does not go direct through the Wifi network, even if you're connected to the same network. The Android app needs to be updated as it's hard to tell if you are looking at the current video feed or if it is lagging terribly.

Summary: Quite simply this monitor does not perform its most basic function, that is to effectively monitor your baby! It disconnects from my network constantly and will not reconnect which makes it useless as safeguard when you need it most. I had read similar reviews before I purchased it but gave it the benefit of the doubt as I like Withings products. Unfortunately all the other reviews reporting this disconnection issue are correct.
Summary: This is an amazing product if you get it to work! I have failed to setup the remote access from several samsung devices. The reason for one star is the lack of tech support from whitings. There is no telephone number and after going through their website for help I never heard back(over two months ago). I even raised this issue on their facebook page and was assured that someone would get back to me within 48 hours, its been over a month now with no response.

Summary: I read a lot (hundreds) of reviews on this product both here and on many other review sites. Many complain of dropping video, lost alert settings after app restart, poor night lighting etc. I think many problems with video streaming stem from poor wifi signals and slow broadband speeds (from ISPs). This is particularly true when you are using an Android device..
