Should have stuck with BT!

Olivia Labrey, Amazon
  • Summary: Very disappointed. It feels very cheap and poorly made, the light on the handset is SO bright it lights up the room like a lightning storm (maybe some people would like this but we find it very annoying!), the sound is quite muffled, the basic lights on the base unit light up the nursery way too much, the music is tinny... I won't continue. It gets one star for doing what it says on the tin.

lights too bright and poor battery life

miss k hughes, Amazon
  • Summary: I've been using this for about 4 months and its ok. In fairness the sound quality is good - no issues there. The negatives ( that i wish I'd known before buying) are: - poor battery life on the parent unit. Doesn't last the night so ends up being on charge a lot! Disappointing as this is why we didn't buy one with video. - annoying loud beep everytime parent is unplugged or plugged into charger. Really annoying when you're trying not to wake the baby.

Poor build quality lets down an otherwise good product

R. Smith, Amazon
  • Summary: Genuinely disappointed with the product. When it works its a great monitor - the sound quality is good and picks up even low baby noises. Unfortunately the build quality is not good. I have now had 2 of these monitors and for both the parent unit has failed (doesn't charge or power on). The first failed after 6 months, the second after 10 months. Spending £50+ on a unit you'd expect it to last at least a year!

Peace of Mind

M. Rice, Amazon
  • Summary: Superb monitor which gives my partner and I peace of mind when the little one is upstairs. Works outside in the garden and the best feature is the lullabies that can be controlled by the press of a button to send your small person into the land of nod, either initially when they are falling asleep or even when they begin to star. Good value for money in comparison to some of the more expensive models too!

Not a very good monitor!

Rob, Amazon
28 December 2014
  • Summary: Not a very good monitor! There is no volume control on the base unit and the lullabies are awful. The Base light has an option for dimming but its a bright white light, not very cosy. The two buttons on the unit are clunky and takes a few attempts of pressing to make the functions work. The parent unit is small and can easily be carried round but if you do have to use it to activate the lullabies you have to put it on mute as the volume only knows very loud and loud.

Happy with this product

Fiona Lewis, Amazon
27 December 2014
  • Summary: It is a good monitor, and it provides reasonable distance. My criticism is the buttons are too easily pressed, so if you have the monitor in your pocket, the volume keeps getting pushed up and down and on several occasions I have set the lullabies off!! Not ideal when you've just spent ages getting baby off to sleep!! Also if you turn the handset off, the foodbase flashes red and green, so its a bit like disco! Overall tho, we are pleased with it.

Not great

AndyW, Amazon
23 December 2014
  • Summary: Bought to replace a BT system, whose screen failed after a few months. Works OK but makes a loud noise when you plug it in / remove the plug / switch it on and off. Also the battery life is very poor it barely lasts 3-4 hours before needing to be charged. Bright green light on the base unit was off-putting for our baby in the nursery & is un-necessary. I wouldn't buy again.

Very good monitor BUT battery life is ridiculous

Amazon Customer "Illusion Graphik", Amazon
8 December 2014
  • Summary: We had the oldest version of this baby monitor and always loved it. Now this one is designed better, the + and - sound buttons are "easier" to use and adjust, the lines are smooth and it looks good, the sound is just as clear as the other older model and we really appreciate the sound activation mode which makes it possible to hear only when the baby/kid is calling or crying.

Great monitor, except lights wake you up!

E. Hamilton, Amazon
22 November 2014
  • Summary: Great monitor in lots of ways. Clear sound, great battery life and I find nightlight very handy. You can switch it on and off from the parent unit too which I use. However there's a huge flaw with this product, when the baby coughs, sneezes, makes a noise, etc, the lights on the monitor light up our bedroom like a nightclub. We are even quite heavy sleepers and it still manages to wake us! And we don't need lights to wake us up when she sneezes!

Excellent product, good value for money

Claire, Amazon
20 November 2014
  • Summary: Excellent product, good value for money. I've found the sound quality is good and you can adjust the volume on the parent device. It records room temp which is handy in the chillier weather and the night light is such a good idea, you can even turn it on or off from the parent device. The only negative I can find is the 3 lullabies aren't particularly tuneful but otherwise excellent product a must have for busy parents.
