Summary: I live in a small condo so didn't need a super expensive baby monitor with a very long range. I just needed one that could relay sounds from one room to the living room/kitchen. This monitor does a good job at that and I'm able to hear even the faintest of sounds made by my baby. The only problem that I have witnessed until now (in the couple of months I have used it) is that sometimes the monitor beeps indicating it has gone out of range or lost connection which is...
Summary: The noise gate is excellent in my opinion. On the other hand, my wife doesn't like it because she can't hear what's going on between the cries. This unit advertises a range of "up to 200 feet". I'm not sure what conditions that's under, because ours craps out down the hall through a single closed door. Or when our son shifts between the transmitter and receiver. Or someone walks down the hall. Or a phone rings. Or a cat sneezes.
Summary: This is the only baby monitor that I have used, so I don't have much of a comparison. I'm really happy with his and have not had any of the issues mentioned by other reviewers. I love the voice activated feature. When that's on, I don't have to listen to static all night.
Summary: Very good monitor. Picks up the slightest sound ... Love the voice activated option on the parents unit. It really turns on only when it picks up noise in my son's room otherwise it stays off. Works really well, nice design as well not too big not too small. I have tried several monitors but I like this one the best.
Summary: We bought this monitor based on it's high rating for sound clarity, which is great, when it has reception. But my gosh - all it takes is our oldest to walk through the hallway to interfere and all we hear is out of range beeping. I couldn't even take the monitor outside directly below the nursery without getting an out of range beep! It was easier and way less irritating to just open the window.
Summary: Very clear sound. Range for us is about 25 ft through 2 walls with no real issues. Sometimes it cuts out if you stand in it's path, but only sometimes for some reason. Very nice unit. Not worth wasting your money on a video monitor, just learn your baby's cry's and you will know when you need to go in the room. Takes about 2 weeks to learn the cry's.
Summary: So far so good with this product! Great range, volume control, and we love the voice-activated control, so we don't have to listen to background noise if we choose not to. That said, we have occasionally used the speaker for music when we leave the radio playing in our toddler's room!
Summary: Excellent baby monitor, works well in my apartment (which normally I cant get any electrical item to work in - eg cell phones wont work). Feel confident that I can hear baby (can turn up volume to get every sound, or turn it down just to get the awake cry. Recharge alarm really useful with baby brain!
