Summary: Having used a cheaper BT model in the past, this Philips unit is superior in a number of key areas. The sound quality is excellent quality even when through 2 floors (the unit does have a range of over 300 metres). Programmed music to play in background is a nice addition (although it is for a short time), as is the nightlight. Controls and setting are easily displayed and set, and the parent unit itself is sleek and can easily be carried around/ put in your pocket.
Summary: This is very good gadget inside the house specially when you have a second floor. I used this as an intercom sometimes if I am lazy want to go up and down the stairs. The sensitivity is superb I can hear even the movement of my baby in his cot. And I could talk back to him when I'm trying to calm him down so I don't need to go to his bed when he is just half asleep he thought I'm in his room. And I could remotely turn the music on or off the sooth him.
Summary: This is a superb baby monitor. The DECT technology means that there is no interference and a superb reception, which is paramount with a baby monitor. The temperature guage is a very helpful addition. The humidity sensor seems a bit unnecassary in the UK as we don't suffer extreme humidity, but i can see its worth in other countries.
Summary: Very easy to use, does well what it supposed to do. One thing should be noticed that replacing the batteries in baby's unit is a bit difficult, and it would be better if baby's unit would also be provided with rechargeable stuff. I would certainly recommend this product, when your baby have grown up, you can still use the humidity sensor :-).
Summary: Being a new dad, i had no idea what we needed from a baby moniter, so i went to amazon and checked out the other comments. After reading all the other comments, i decided this was the moniter to buy, although a little more expensive than some of the others it had more features and seemed to be more practicle and mobile. when it arrived, sure enough it was very simple to set up, and the unit is small and light weight.
Summary: I found this baby monitor to be easy to use with clear instructions. It is very compact and the storage case is a really good idea as I don't need to use it every day so can pack it safely out of the way. I liked the fact that I could choose to use batteries or mains power too. I have only tried it during the day so haven't used the humidity feature or night light but liked the fact that it played lullabies as the children like listening to something soothing as they...
Summary: Not content with 'just' a baby monitor, Avent has now introduced a monitor complete with humidity and temperature gauge. Perfect for those of us who worry perhaps a little too much about the health, safety and wellbeing of those we love! ;o) The DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication) aspect of this monitor is superb, and thinking back to the 'bogstandard' monitors of old is a tremendous improvement - no crackles or interference.
Very expensive baby monitor but does what it says on the tin

Summary: I'm really impressed with this baby monitor. In fact I can't really fault it except for the price. It's a nice little piece of kit. Out of the box you receive the base unit with wall plug (which looks strangely like an old fashioned tape player), the parent unit with wall charger and a carrying bag for trips. All the components are a simple white with metallic blue fascia and the Philips Avent logo. They look quite smart. First things first and most importantly it works.
A fine baby monitor, but is it worth the extra cost?

Summary: Having been sent this product for review I tested it on my 11 month old son. The baby monitor I had used up until then was the BT 150, which had impressed me greatly over the last 12 months. It offered good value for money, has been efficient and has a wide range of options (lullabys, a torch on the parent set, talk option, tempreture, etc.).
Summary: Baby monitors get pretty heavy usage in our house due to an eight month old who is teething right now. We have loads of Avent products from steam steriliser to bottles and have always rated the quality of their products. The baby monitor seems to be no exception. The baby unit (shaped like a cube) has built in temperature and humidity sensors. So far so good. It also has a built in night light and lullably function.
