Ok but not as good as our old Tomy Platinum

  • Summary: Our Tomy platinum monitor recently broke (after 3 years) and I wanted to get a replacement, but after reading the reviews for this monitor (and the fact that it was half price in Mothercare) I decided to get this. Its quite a dinky little monitor and box, but I miss my old Tomy. With the Tomy you could hear the baby breathing at quite a low level, but with this monitor you have to turn it right up and there is quite a lot of buzzing which we didnt have before.

Very good but...

  • Summary: This is an excellent piece of kit which is simple to set-up and use, and it works. The features include a night light, humidity and temperature readings, music (5 lullabies which only play for a set period of time and, hopefully, the baby is asleep by the time they finish), a baby monitor and a walkie-talkie so you can talk to your child through it (which I haven't actually used).

This monitor has just about everything you could wish for, and more, however this does come at a price...

  • Summary: The monitor is very easy to use - all very self explanatory, and the Quick Start guide is useful. It is a much smaller unit than I anticipated, and the parent unit is light and transportable. The unit recharges and holds its charge all day - no rushing to plug the parent unit in when the charge runs out. The clarity is very good and the ability to adjust the sensitivity is great too, you don't have to hear baby's every breath and shuffling around (unless you want to).
