Summary: A previous baby monitor given to us by some well-meaning friends was a joke (not working from the start) and too clunky. We have had the Philips Avent monitor for 3 years now and it works perfectly. Small-size, easy to carry around or even in another house, two modes (for lower DECT emmissions), easy to operate. With fairly proper use (not constantly left on the base station) the parent part's battery lasts a couple of nights before recharging.
Summary: Bought for my sister to use for her new baby. She loves it. It's light enough and has a little travel bag to bring it when going somewhere else for the day so you can monitor wherever the baby is sleeping. Similarly, the temperature sensor is useful in locations where you might need to adjust heating and close or open windows.
Summary: I have been through a lot of monitors with my son as they break down and the sound quality is usually poor and fuzzy. I bought this when my daughter was born and haven't had any issues with it at all. The sound quality is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.
Summary: It works perfectly and gives us peace of mind - what more could we ask for. We can now put our 3 month old daughter up to bed and spend an hour or two downstairs cleaning, sorting or relaxing and we can hear her very clearly. The ability to press the talk button and tell her we are on the way is wonderful and the option to play a lullaby, turn it on/off and change the volume from the remote is great.
Summary: We have had the BT Monitor for a while, which is a similar build but the range is a bit less. These are definitely the best baby monitor we have ever seen. The range, build and signal is just great in our old house with thick walls. And the fact it also holds batteries makes it easy to bring on a journey and not always having to connect it to the mains.
