Great product except finding replacement parts is difficult
10 September 2013
Summary: I have had this for 18 months and now the parent unit is no longer charging and I cannot find a base charger replacement for a decent price. The range is great and love that it notifies you when out of range. Love that it lights up and has the temperature. The length of the battery life is great but now that I can't charge it, it's a problem.
Summary: This baby monitor is easy to use, shows temp. and humidity - a handy feature. It is very durable - I've worn it out spraying, mowing, trimming, in the garden... Nice case so it's easy to take with you on trips or to the sitter's. The music plays for 10 min - my 2 yr. old still asks for me to turn on his music when he goes down for a nap and at bedtime. But the feature, I love the MOST is the DISTANCE it covers. Great for camping or if you have a really big yard!
Summary: Very easy to use, works great. Love the sensitivity and the range. Works great on multiple floors, basement, garageu2026 So glad we went with this one. The light really doesnu2019t do much and the songs are too short, but that's not what we got a monitor for. Excellent monitor, would recommend to anyone. The receiver is very portable and wonderful that it is rechargeable.
Summary: This was wonderful while it worked. Unforturnately the handheld unit fell into some water and no longer works. You cannot order a new handheld unit and all the company will do is offer 15% off a new one. Now I am out $180 and don't have the money to replace it. Things fall into liquid when you have a child, you think they would offer better support for these kind of things or at least let you purchase an additional handheld unit to link with the monitor.
Summary: this monitor has excellent sound quality and we have used the lullabies at times to help our babies (twins) fall asleep. the humidity and temperature readings seem to be accurate, and i like knowing that the sound is encrypted and limited to our household as well. i subtracted one star for design because the noise readout is in the form of blinking strobe light bars, which can be annoying if you're a light sleeper.
Pros: works well, multiple lullabies to choose from, humidity and temp readout
Cons: strobe light effect for noise response is overkill
Summary: A previous baby monitor given to us by some well-meaning friends was a joke (not working from the start) and too clunky. We have had the Philips Avent monitor for 3 years now and it works perfectly. Small-size, easy to carry around or even in another house, two modes (for lower DECT emmissions), easy to operate. With fairly proper use (not constantly left on the base station) the parent part's battery lasts a couple of nights before recharging.
