Poor battery ruins the device
13 January 2014
Summary: Product is actually quite good however the battery life is complete rubbish so i not see how anyone could use this when they are at the bottom on their garden!! Also the charger packed up and i have to buy another (5V 1A Motorola MBP30 Digital Video Baby Monitor Power Supply Adapter). In hindsight i would recommend going for one that has a temperature gauge and that connects to wi-fi.
Summary: I bought the cameras for the price.Batteries last only one hour and are not fully charged even after 24h! Quality of the images is good with daylight and poor in the night.Wifi is slowing down, impossible to surf. If you want something more than the basics go for more expensive one.
Summary: Pro's: Not too expensive Night vision is good Robust Range is very good Tested up to 4 houses away Con's: Battery life (lasts about 30 mins before beeping like mad to be put on charge. If you mute the beep, bare in mind you also mute sounds from baby, it will last another 30 mins) If the camera is not switched on and you switch the receiver on the silly thing beeps like it going to explode and you cannot mute that! Great if you've just got baby to sleep.
Summary: It's great to be able to see our baby when she's in her cot and for that, this is brilliant, the image is clear and the sound good. There are several things to beware before purchase however. The build quality is incredibly poor and the buttons stick all the time so it is continually turning itself on and off again. The range is nowhere near 150m in our experience.
Summary: Camera picture quality is good and its value for money (£70ish) when we bought it to have 2 cameras. However, it made a buzzing noise which I could hear but Hubby couldn't (yes I may be weird) and the battery life seems to be only a 2-4 hours without being connected to a power source before the bleeping commenced. We may just take this to the Grandparents for occasional use or find a new home for it.
Summary: image is very clear has varying levels of noise sensitivity which is great for picking up baby noises depending on the noise level of the room baby is in has a 2-way communication function which is very useful However, the battery life is very poor and the baby monitor has to be plugged into the power socket all day.
Summary: I wish that the company supplying this had said it was a European Import and that they required a sizeable adapter to convert to a UK plug. We had to start moving furnature to accomodate the extra plug space. They did provide a converter hence the three stars. On the up side the monitor works great.
Summary: Very happy with the monitor when we got it, but after just under a year the battery life went right down hill. If it is now not plugged in than it will only last about 1/2 hour at the most if it is switched to VOX, but if the baby should make a noise and the monitor switches to picture on the VOX setting than it will last 10 min at the most on battery/ unlugged from the mains.
