I don't understand most of the bad reviews on here

Summary: We have had two of these one for each child for years now and most of the bad reviews seem to revolve around :- 1) It only coming on when it detects a sound instead of a permanent connection - This is just a setting you can change it to maximum sensitivity then it is a permanent connection - this setting obviously drains the battery of the parent unit quicker so it's a trade off.
Summary: OK, so reading these reviews I think I need to add some balance. Yes, you are still required to look after your child, it won't do that for you. The sound level is fine for us and I can hear when my baby stirs- I like this. I don't want a permanent 'white noise' sound, which is why I always buy items with VOX. It's not expensive, if you want it to do more or be better, spend more money don't blame this monitor.
Summary: It wasn't even working for two months. One night just start beeping and there was a message 'Not Linked' so we try use what was in the manual, and guess what still not working. Not worth it at all.
Summary: Driving me crazy with its incessant peep peep to tell me the monitor and receiver are disconnected. The rechargable batteries in the base unit were hopeless from new so we have never been able to take the handset off and move it around. The transmitter in the babys room takes 3 batteries and no matter how many brand new duracells I fit its no good, only works with the mains adaptor. So I think this is a waste of time product.
Summary: Words can't express my disappointment with this monitor. I don't normally bother to write reviews but in this case I felt compelled to lest anyone else has to go through what me and my husband have had to this past few weeks. Disappointment probably isn't the word - it's more like anger. There is not one thing right with this machine, in my opinion.
Summary: Value for money product as has what you need for baby nursery, temperature control, tunes, talk back and above all remote control so you don't need to go into baby's room to play the tune again or switch it off. Light and not bulky. I like the idea of parent unit being like a mobile.
Summary: I previously purchased a BT Baby Monitor 150 for my first baby which was brilliant but for my second I decided to get this one as it was a bit cheaper. What a mistake really! Although this monitor does all the things it is suppose to do there are a couple of very annoying things about it.
