Bring back the old model

Summary: I have to agree with other reviewers that this is a bad redesign of the excellent BT150. Worst points are: 1) torch button is located on back of parent unit so when clipped on a belt it is easily accidentally turned on by bending over, which runs the battery down and (much worse) mutes the unit so if you don't notice your baby may be crying without you knowing it!
Summary: This review is long overdue. I could rant for pages about how bad this monitor is, how it falls utterly, miserably short of its predecessor the BT150. But I can see that many, many other reviewers have echoed the same disappointment. So a brief description: You can hear the baby most of the time. The parent unit has been know to switch off for no apparent reason on a couple of occassions. Display stopped working properly within 12months of use.
Summary: We're now on the third one of these monitors in about 22 months. It's such a shame the build quality is so bad, when it works this monitor is excellent, the sound is crystal clear and the temperature monitor is really useful. I like the fact that the night light has different light levels and the talk-back feature is useful. But there are huge problems with longevity. First the LCD display starts to go so you can't read bits of it.
Summary: We have had two of these, so far! First one stopped working after 6 months. The second stopped working after about 18 months. Initially the digital display started deteriorating. You couldn't read the temp etc until it got to the point that there were just random black marks; totally useless. Eventually it just stopped working and wouldn't switch on. Only saving grace is that sound is pretty good.
Summary: We've had this product for 2 and a half years. It's finally time for a new one, but none last forever .... The best bits : the night light changes colour with the room temperature. This is great, one quick glance over at bed time and you know how many blankets or duvets to throw over - much easier than looking at numbers on the parent unit and then working out wether that's warm enough or too warm. Sound quality is excellent.
Summary: As a mum of 6 monitors is something that has definitely been tested, these I have to say are the best we have ever used! Voices are loud and clear through both units. The nightlight is brilliant not only can it be dimmed but it also acts as a visual temperature gauge (blue too cold through to red too hot) so at a glance you can check the room temp :) You can turn the music on by both the parent and nursery unit and adjust the volume.
Summary: We bought ours two and a half years ago. From the beginning the light went out at 21-22 *C,but worked as expected both warmer and colder than this. It took ages to work out why it sometimes wasn't on. This was a pain when trying to use it as a night light. But the music is good, I like the temperature warning, the range is good, the travel bag is handy. The light began to work intermittently after 2 years and then the digital display went. It's now unusable.
