Summary: My son was 10lb at birth and has grown up what you might call a 'chunky' baby. When he's teething and needs lots of cuddles the belt is a life saver because he is just too heavy to carry around. The other time that I love the belt is when I am organising to get out of the house and he becomes tired. I can carry him around on it to stop him crying and finish off a few last minute jobs before leavng. I think they are expensive, but worth it.
Pros: Great for carrying baby whilst doing other things.
Cons: You have to find it before picking up the baby(!) (doesnt have a tracking device) As a result, I dont use it ALL the time.
Excerpt: Absolutely fabulous! I bought one when my daughter was 5 months old as at 17lbs she was just too heavy for me to carry her in the baby carrier -my back was in bits! But she loves being able to see whats going on and arches her back to get out of the pushchair! Now 8 months old I dont know what wed do without it. We take it out everywhere with us and it was particularly useful in the airport as we checked our pushchair in with our bags.
Excerpt: I rave about this hip seat to any mother wholl listen. I love to carry my children as much as possible. But theres only so much your arms or back can take! So I invested in this surprise find. I used it with my last baby from 5 months to 2 years old. It was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Very easy to whip on and off and can take a lot of abuse and use (the wedge inself is very sturdy and the covering is serious hardwearing and machine washable).
Excerpt: Very easy and comfortable to use. Saves my back and arms from aching and means I can get on with lots of jobs when the baby wont let me put him down, without becoming exhausted. He still enjoys sitting on it now as a toddler. I would definitely recommend it.
