Brilliant for toddlers. My 2-year-old is happy to sit on it although I do still have to hold onto her

  • Summary: This is a great choice for toddlers who are able to walk but tire easily. The Hipseat means tots can be be easily and painlessly carried when needed.
  • Pros: You aren't carrying baby on your hip which is better for you and baby, great as tots get bigger and heavier, redistributes weight through back and shoulders so you aren't feeling as strained
  • Cons: It takes a bit of time to put it on correctly, there are no straps to secure your child

LOVE IT. OCCASIONALLY ITS A LIFE SAVER.

Karen Froud, Made for Mums
30 January 2006
  • Summary: My son was 10lb at birth and has grown up what you might call a 'chunky' baby. When he's teething and needs lots of cuddles the belt is a life saver because he is just too heavy to carry around. The other time that I love the belt is when I am organising to get out of the house and he becomes tired.
  • Pros: Great for carrying baby whilst doing other things.
  • Cons: You have to find it before picking up the baby(!) (doesnt have a tracking device) As a result, I dont use it ALL the time.

  • Excerpt: I didn't buy this. We got it from someone who was getting rid of their old baby paraphernalia. We used it a few times around the house when the baby wanted to be held and both of us agreed it made carrying the baby on our hip more comfortable BUT you still have to hold the baby so ultimately it's...

  • Excerpt: I rave about this hip seat to any mother wholl listen. I love to carry my children as much as possible. But theres only so much your arms or back can take! So I invested in this surprise find. I used it with my last baby from 5 months to 2 years old. It was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

  • Excerpt: Very easy and comfortable to use. Saves my back and arms from aching and means I can get on with lots of jobs when the baby wont let me put him down, without becoming exhausted. He still enjoys sitting on it now as a toddler. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Excerpt: Absolutely fabulous! I bought one when my daughter was 5 months old as at 17lbs she was just too heavy for me to carry her in the baby carrier -my back was in bits! But she loves being able to see whats going on and arches her back to get out of the pushchair!

  • Excerpt: I use this for my 6 month old and 3 year old and will probably use it for a very long time to come. Baby sits well and has a cuddle. Toddler has face-to-face time while I push the buggy with baby in it. I pretty much don't take it off!!

" Fab product especially for keen to walk toddlers who just…"

Lizziwiz, Mumsnet

  • Excerpt: Fab product especially for keen to walk toddlers who just want the occasional rest. Easy to use but would be easier still if it could be clipped up for both left and right handed use without spinning it around your waist.
