Great backpack, awesome price.

  • Summary: We're students and didn't have $$$ to drop on other backpacks/brands. We've loved other Chicco baby gear in the past. I love the color and design on this backpack. I also love that it's not as bulky as other more expensive backpacks (like Kelty) and was a big selling point. Our 10 mo old baby loves riding in it and sometimes cries when we take her out. I didn't have problems getting the backpack on or off. I'm 5'10" and my wife is 5'6".

mixed opinions

  • Summary: After getting this put together I tried it on with my 27 pounder. I had a lower back injury 2 years ago and have chronic lower back pain. This product put ZERO pressure on my lower back, however the weight on my shoulders was more than I was willing to put up with. I also couldn't even reach my child or the sun shade. Let me mention the so-called "fold flat" armrest... I was pure sweating by the time I got it!
  • Pros: Strong Construction, Stylish
  • Cons: Difficult To Set Up, Heavy, Uncomfortable

Great item for hiking / walking w/baby

Cathy, toysrus.com
24 April 2013
  • Summary: We love this for walking / hiking with our daughter. It fits us both well, me being 5'5" and my husband is 5'10". Our 23 pound 10 month old, who is very long for her age, fits well in this too. Only complaint is if she falls asleep, her face rubs on the fabric on the front and that isn't very soft, so left marks on her face. We learned our lesson with that and now cover that with a soft receiving blanket for those times she falls asleep.
  • Pros: Easy Use, Lightweight, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Rough Fabric

so good, we are buying it again!

  • Summary: My husband and I received this carrier for our daughter 9 yrs ago. we used it for her and then for her brother, 7 years ago. since then, we had passed it on. Now, I am expecting again and we searched for this same carrier, so happy to have found it. My husband LOVES this design and carried both of our older children in it while camping and hiking. The color is great. its easy to get the child in and out of. very sturdy, safe. HIGHLY recommend.

Not comfortable/poor design/ broke

Hiker, toysrus.com
5 September 2012
  • Summary: This backpack is a good concept. My daughter loves it and she appears very comfortable. It is not comfortable for me or my wife however. This is not a long distance/ hike all day pack. she is 18 lbs and after 2 miles, I can't wait to get it off my back. The kickstand broke as well. It is a poor design. I contacted Chicco( which is not easy) and was told that it is not repairable and no parts are available. They offered to sell me another backpack, shipping not included.

Worth every penny

  • Summary: We bought this item with a little hesitation for a trip to Europe. It came in so handy to travel and to connect airplanes in airports carrying our 27lb 11 month old. He absoluteley loved it because he was up high and could see everything. He would even take fall asleep in it. While in Europe we used it when we were on tours at tourist sites and whenever possible instead of lugging a stroller around. It met our expectations above and beyond.

Bad design

N the mom of 2, toysrus.com
3 May 2012
  • Summary: I bought this for my 11 month old while on vacation because we left our carrier at home. I will be returning it, its junk. There are very few pockets. THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS THE HARNESS! My son is average size (50%) for his age and the black padded seat doesn't allow the baby's shoulder straps to go high enough. Also the buckle is way down by his belly button and way too hard to fasten him in. He screams e very time I put him in it.
  • Pros: Strong Construction
  • Cons: Difficult To Set Up, Not Enough Pockets, Uncomfortable
