Okay in the beginning!

rooks14, kiddicare.com
24 April 2012
 • Summary: When my son was really little and didn't want to be put down. I used to do the housework with him in it and he'd fall asleep which was so useful!
However by 4/5 months, its so heavy to carry them in this position! My partner carries him when we go short distances and don't need the pram (going swimming etc) but it gives him backache now.
He is now 8 months and it is virtually unusable because it hurts our backs.
 • Cons: Heavy

 • Summary: Overall this carrier was the best I have used, feels safe and is comfortable to wear, great for Mum or Dad. My DS has sadly outgrown it now, will miss having him snuggled up close. Would definately recommend this carrier.
 • Pros: Really worth the money, loved this carrier as my son was so snug and felt secure. Comfortable to wear, easy to get on and off on your own. The little pull-out sun/shower shade is a really good idea.

Def. worth the money.

Tricia Clark, Made for Mums
5 April 2010
 • Summary: I wanted a baby carrier that would be both practical and stylish, and that both my husband and I would want to be seen using! I settled on this one for these reasons: - the straps are designed for the parents back muscles. It is very comfortable. - My husband really likes how it looks. Important when I want some time our from carrying our daughter! - it has a great fold down front (which poppers down) for when your baby faces out.
 • Pros: - practical and stylish
 • Cons: - none!

The best front carrier on the market

Alison Willows, Made for Mums
19 March 2010
 • Summary: Excellent for both serious walkers with young babies and for walking round town when it's not practical to take a pushchair or pram. Hardwearing with excellent parent and baby friendly features.
 • Pros: I bought one of these after trying slings and other front carriers as I walk in the countryside with my dog. where other carriers failed on comfort for baby and me this one seemed to tick all the boxes. I would regularly take my boy out across fields and over stiles and he loved it, especially when he was old enough to face forwards! It was also great to have around the house when he wouldn't settle as soon as he was asleep you could just detach the pod and put him do...
 • Cons: None! It stands head and shoulders above the rest of the field and had a good resale value so overall cost very little
