Summary: My husband wanted this product so we registered for it. We both find too complicated and time consuming to put on. I have a hard time getting my baby's feet through the holes as she puts up a fight. She's still and infant so maybe that has something to do with it. I love the idea of it but it's just not right for us.
Summary: I purchased a Bjorn baby carrier through Babies R Us gift registry. At the shower, another Bjorn baby carrier was given. I learned that the purchaser went on line, saw the price of Babies R Us carrier had gone up $10 and so went to another vendor and bought it for less. Meanwhile, I paid Babies R Us price, and felt terrible. One, I had given a duplicate gift and two I had been duped on price.
Summary: I have used this baby carrier for both of my daughters, but am now looking to buy a different carrier. My 8 month old is over 18 lbs. and carrying her in this for even a short amount of time really kills my back! I do not have back problems otherwise. I have also had sore neck and shoulder muscles after using it. It is okay for a small baby but I wouldn't recommend for use with an older baby. I will say that is very easy to use otherwise.
Summary: This carrier was fine when my baby was really tiny, but as soon as he got to about 9-10 lbs, it was a problem. This carrier has NO lower back support whatsoever. Because I knew I would want to wear my baby a lot, I also got an ergo. Our baby is now 20 lbs and I'm still happily carrying him without any back pain at all. Also, it would be great if it had a pocket. This is not the worst option, but I would definitely recommend ergo over the bjorn.
Summary: I purchased this product for a number of reasons. First, I simply saw it around town all the time. I figured "Wow, if this many people have this carrier then it must be a good one." Secondly, I noticed it wasn't the cheapest carrier around and believe "you get what you pay for" and again thought it must be a good one. When my son was first born it was awesome. It held him securely inside the carrier without me having to worry about him sliding out.
Summary: This carrier works well for a brief period of time. My baby is now 16 pounds (even though the Bjorn claims to be good until the baby is 25 lbs.) and the carrier provides little support for back and shoulders. When I use this carrier, I feel pregnant again. I am disappointed because I had only heard good things about the Bjorn name. I am now looking for a carrier that cushions and supports my body as well as my son's body.
Summary: I do not believe that this carrier will comfortably support a toddler. My daughter weighs 12lbs, is 2.5 months old and I'm hoping it will get me through the summer. I wear it daily in my house and when we go out. The carrier compartment is extremely small (I am not using an insert) and I was hoping to have something that would last longer.
Pros: Easy Use, Lightweight
Cons: Body aches after wearing, Not Enough Pockets, Too small
Summary: I got this as a gift for my first son and only used it once. Saved it thinking I'd use it more with my second child and didn't use it then either. My children are large so there is a very small window where I could use it comfortably.
Summary: I used this product daily and I couldn't wear it long because my back would hurt. It's good especially if your baby is light-weight; I couldn't use it pass 5 months because my son was too heavy and like I said my back would hurt. The fabric isn't breathable; it made my son and I sweat. Not the product for me.
